Protein Drinks...HELP
i've been getting sick after about a week of doing any one shake. so i switch it up. i've been trying 2 boost shakes a day. it takes me most of the morning and afternoon to choke them down, so i don't worry about the sugars upsetting my tummy because it takes 2-4 hours to drink it. i know they have 250 cals and 33g of carbs, but i'm having problems eating and getting carbs into my diet anyway. if i don't get near 100g of carbs a day i have dragonfire ketosis breath from heck. i just chose to either drink my gatorade or my juice that day to get me closer to 100g. i eat at least 1 protein bar a day as well as a meal substitute. i'm still sitting at around 1000 calories a day by the time i'm done with protein and meals.
I use a protein powder made by SCI-FIT in Mochaccino (sp?) Delight. IT IS WONDERFUL!!! I went through soooo many other kinds of protein, and SCI-FIT is the best - I get it from CUTTING EDGE NUTRITION in Castleton - across the street from Burlington Coat Factory, right next door to Subway...in the same plaza as Jenny Craig (I wonder how many of us have been there?!). The owner, Bob, is great. You can try out single servings and they have a variety of flavors. Tell him Jack's wife, Jacqueline sent you. He knows I'm a huge fan of them...I've tried every kind of protein he carries!
