Hi All. I am almost a week post op and wanted to give you an update.  Every day since I have come hom has been a bit of a struggle to get everything in.  Yesterday was better then today was worse.  IT a  struggle to get the portein in, vits make me want to , but I dont.  Generally feel like crap!! Nothing seems to settle well with my tummy I am just tryin to take it one day at a time!   So anyway I am just hanging in there waiting for that day when I feel good.  Oh, it does not help that the day before my surgery I started my period and had not had one in several years, so now I am still having the periord from he!!

Give yourself a bit of time, Kim, and things are going to get better. It is always a struggle to get the stuff down in the beginning but I was told to do the best that you can and the next day do a bit better yet. It takes time. You will do good and just bear patiently, sweetie. All in good time, all in good time. You have to crawl before you can walk and walk before you can run. You will running in no time at all~promise.

Hi Kim, Glad to hear you're home and doing OK.  Each day will get a little better.  I felt really bad that I couldn't do everything I was supposed to do - protien, calcium, liquids.  But you will have better days.  I'm 4 weeks out today and still have some difficult days.  Yesterday was bad but today is much better.  I sleep alot more than I used to and sometimes still take a nap!  I'm still struggling to find a protein that doesn't leave an awful taste in my mouth.  But - during the times I feel good, I feel sooooooo good and I'm down 17 pounds.  Just hold on and it will get better. Kim,  Hang in there.  It gets better.  Each day it gets a little easier to get everything in.  Just do the best you can each day. I'm sorry you're not feeling well.  That to shall pass.  You will feel good.  Things will settle. Take Care. Carol

Kim,  Everyone else who is post op said it best...it WILL get better from here.  My first week home was pretty rough...I put on a good front, but there were times I just wanted to cry.  Then things started easing up, stuff got easier, and before I knew it, I was running! Well, not literally until last week, but yeah...crawl first, then walk, and then you'll be flying high and feeling great.  Welcome to the NEW Kim!!
