Pain

Hi all,  I am having very bad abdominal pain in the pit of my tummy which goes around  into my back,I had a sharp pain the other morning around 2am which woke me up from a dead sleep,so I guess I better call Dr Jones today an see what she has to say.(((((((((((hugs))))))))))))))

Pamela, I hope you're feeling a little better this morning. Have you had KBS (kinky bowel syndrome)? That's what this kinda sounds like...well, when I had it anyway. Dr. jones will probably order a CT scan to see, but unfortunatelty, if they aren't kinked when the scan occurs, it won't show up. For me, it didn't show up so Dr. Gupta did an exploratory and sure enough, I had 3 kinks. They are also called internal hernia's. In the meantime, I would suggest you keep a record of when the pain occurs, where it occurs, how long it lasts, and a description of what it feels like. I also had some scar tissue and the pain from it was different from that of the kinks.   With the pain going to your back, it can also be your gall bladder. Still have it? Pamela, I am praying that whatever is wrong gets fixed and you can go on and enjoy your life as before. I think it is a very wise thing that you contact the doctor. She will know just what to do.
