Hello Indiana!!

Hello Fellow Hoosiers!! I thought I would pop over from the Minnesota board because well, I am a hoosier, too!! Born and raised in Indianapolis, and lived on the North East side. I graduated from John Marshall HS in 1977. I moved to MN in 1986 and have made it my home. I still have family in Indy and get home every chance I get!!

I had Lap RNY in July of 2007 and have never felt better in my life!! THis is the best thing I could have ever done for myself and my family!!

I hope you all don't mind my popping in, would love to get to know you all, afterall once a hoosier girl, always a hoosier, right?

Carol, welcome home to the IN board. It is great to hear from you and you are so right~once a hoosier always a hoosier. You can get a lot of things out of a person but not something she is born with!!! Please feel free to post often and let us all get to know each other.  I had an open rny in October of last year and I have never regretted having it either. I am living life now and not just exsisting. Life was meant to live and I that is what I plan on doing for the rest of my life. lol

Thank you Brenda!! I look forward to getting to know you all...I still miss Indy so much although this is my home now since this is where my kids are and my grandkids!! I would miss them terribly!!  ((hugs))) CarolN

Carol, Welcome to our board. We live on the NE side...near 38th & Richardt. Where were you living when you were here? I think my husband graduated from John Marshall too..but I think he was in the class of '71 (old fart..). When you come back into town, let us know. Maybe a group of us can get together for dinner so you can meet us.                Sherri

We lived between 30th and 21st right off of 'Franklin Rd. In fact my house backyard faced Franklin Rd. I know where 38th and Richardt is!! had friends over there!! So your husband graduated in 71? he may know my sister then, she graduated from JMHS in 69!! The first graduating class!!

It really is a small world we live in isn't it?

I would love to hook up with all of you when i come to town. We are infact planning a road trip for later on this summer...perhap then!!

Carol, Bill told me to ask you what your sister's maiden name is. If he doesn't remember your sister, his sister might. She graduated in 68 or 69 but not from JMHS. I don't think I quite understand why not or whatever but at some point, she probably went to the same school as your sister. Any idea when you are planning on coming this way? Let us know a few weeks in advance. Maybe we can all get together at Lincoln Square..it's a restaurant on 21st between Shadeland & Franklin. Sherri

HI there welcome back to indy.. stop by anytime!! I stop by Idaho everyonce in a while!! I have family there and it almost makes me feel like I am visiting!! I miss the mountains...The hills of Indy are nothing like the HILLS in Idaho and Oregons deserts would make our dunes hide in shame but...anyway I know what you mean.. Linda Kay
