Surgery 6 months ago today
Hello my Indiana friends...... I had my surgery 6 months ago today. It has been a lot rougher road than I expected, but I finally feel good most of the time! My body just did not do things normally!! I had severe nausea for 4 1/2 months, my tastes did not change after surgery, and I still get hungry when I need to eat. And then I have the normal "head hunger" to battle. Most days I win. LOL I have lost 70 pounds so far since my surgery. I don't post much, but I read nearly every day. I feel like I know so many of you, and I am so thankful for all of you and this site. You have kept me sane by allowing me to see that my battles are normal and that it will get better. Thank you, thank you, thank you!! ~ Bev
Hi Bev! Great to hear from you. I am just 1 month and 20 days out and I am having the same problems that you have had. Except my taste did change big time! Everything that I eat or drink is too sweet! So I still am fighting the "Head Hunger" and the nausea! Any suggestions on how to deal with them? I have also had to get my throat stretched 2x's and that wasn't anything I would like to do again. That is a great weight loss! Congratulations!!!!!

Good to hear from you. I am currently 6-7 weeks out. I had the head hunger early out but now I don't really have it anymore. I have to make myself eat. I do get hungry but all I have to do is drink some milk and it goes away.
Good for you on the weight loss. Are you coming to the clothing exchange? Hope to see you there.
