Lois and Ellen thanks for the prayer,  I am doing much better.  I have to give credit to Karen, Dr. Evansons nurse, she told me I really needed to go to the ER now not to wait tell the pain got worse, I had already beening dealing with this for a week and when I called the pain had just started up again.   Lois you are right we really should listen to our bodies, but you just don't know if it is bad enough, I just thought I had bad gas built up and could not pass it. I was hurting from my belly button to my breast area and a little to the left side also.  Lois I hope your back is doing better . Just to let you know  my colan was kinked and was starting to leak out.   Take care.  Lisa B

Thanks Michelle,  I was told it is somthing that usually happens to rny people that are a couple years out , they actually called it a internal hernia, I think we call it KBS.   I am feeling much better now that I had it done and now that I know it wasn't just gas building up and couldn't get it out.  I check on google today to see just was it really was.  The site said showed that most people that have this are usually ones that had the wls,  ones that have lost alot of weight or someone that has had things moved around like a back surgery ect.  Wow and I didn't think I had really lost alot.   I will surely dance now, well maybe in a week or two after things heal up more. Lisa..I'm glad you're feeling better. When I had KBS a few years ago (I was 1 yr post-op), here's a few things I was told about it: WLS patients were prone to it because as you lost weight and lost the fat in your tummy, it was giving the intestines room to wiggle around in...something they didn't have much of pre-op. There's a layer that kinda resembles a mesh..like the screen on your porch door. When the intestines start wiggling around, they can poke through this mesh. When it's poked through, you have pain (it will also show up on a CT scan when it's stuck...but not if it's not stuck at that precise time). They can wiggle themselves free and get re-stuck over & over. When the surgeon goes in, they put a couple of well-placed stitches blocking the opening that the intestine is getting hung up in. Think again about that porch door screen. If a kid poked a hole in it with a pen, the most economical way of keeping bugs out but still enjoy the air coming in is to just sew a couple stitches to make that opening too small for the common house fly. You know the saying that the 'more things are different, the more they stay the same'? Well..we all may be different, but surgeons began to realize a few years ago that those of us who had KBS, have it in pretty common locations. So..many of the surgeons started putting in a couple of reinforcement stitches when they are in there to do the RNY..therefore, preventing KBS from happening. They didn't start that until 2-3 years ago so those who are ~2006 or so and newer most likely will never have to worry about KBS. I had to have mine taken care of when I was 1 yr post op. I was told that 18 months post-op was the most common. I had either 2 or 3 locations taken care off (plus some scar tissue removed). Hopefully, the newbies won't have to worry about this at all.                                                    Best of luck! Sherri

Sherri, you always spell everything out so everyone can understand it.  Thank you.   I don't want to scar anyone, just to let them know to watch for it cause I really didn't think I had anything like that.  You know kind of like sometimes people have heart attachs and don't think that is what it is and then they are sorry later. Thanks Sherri. Oh I do have a qustion why are the smiley faces and pic, take so long to down load on your post.  Or maybe it is just my slow computer. Lisa B
