GOOD MORNING!!!

GOOD MORNING!! I am just starting my day here in Kempton and we are trying to get this room cleaned out. We are going to move my brother in this room. As some of you know he has terminal liver cancer. It is getting progressivly worse now. He thinks he is helping us out ( which he is) since my husband is without a job. We think we are helping him out ( which we are) so he isn't alone and we will be close if he needs us. SO we have alot of moving stuff around and storing things in the garage. This I am not to fond of. But my husband is all about saving money now! To bad he didn't think that way before!  Well hind site is 20/20! Hope everyone has a great day! OH by the way I went to the support group at Carmel yesterday and weighed in, I lost some more weight and the total now is so far is 57 lbs off. I don't own a scale so I weighed before the meeting.  Michelle

Good morning my fellow Hoosier Losers!                                                                                                                   I hope you all are feeling good today. I definately feel better than I did yesterday! I had told Bill that I felt like I had gotten hold of a bad tomato! Yeah...add that on top of my stomach pooching out 6" durring the day and this stupid diarrhea! I started off with my stomach pooched to 37" (it's usually 33-34" in the morning and goes up to ~40" by the end of the day) and it being spastic all day...the meds didn't seem to touch it. After work yesterday I had to go by the post office, Walgreens, and Kroger's. I just felt like crap. By the time I got home & got stuff put up, all I wanted to do is go to bed! I had picked up some rotiserie chicken at Kroger, threw a potato in the microwave, added some cottage cheese on the plates and called it a meal! Bill didn't complain. lol. I was in bed by 9...and that was AFTER me napping in my chair for about an hour. Oh..I was running a low temp too (100.8 was the highest). So today...today, I feel fantastic compared to that! My stomach was back down to ~34" when I got up. So far, the spasms are quiet. The tummy is tender...but at least it isn't hurting. And I don't think I have a temp (I don't have a thermometer at work but it 'feels' ok with the old Mom hand test). So..maybe I did have some sort of 24 hour bug..?                                                                                  I'm going to be making a short day of it today. I have a follow-up with Dr. Bergman this afternoon. That one darn place on my leg has to be drained again (4th time). She'll also be putting silver nitrate on this opening in my belly button (4th time). It's almost closed so maybe this will be the last time for it. But...I had another place to open about an inch below it. Today will be the 1st time she sees it. You know people, when it comes to plastic surgeons, I really don't think you could go wrong having her! Of all the specialists who have been involved in my care since September/October, she has been the one who has been the most attentive to all these problems I've had. No..she's not the one who can do anything about them. Like with the diarrhea & swelling. She can't do anything about them since they are both out of her expertise but she ASKS about them every time I see her. She asks when my next appointment with who-ever is. That definately makes me feel like she cares..you know? Some, don't ask..and then they act surprised when they find out you STILL have the diarrhea, swelling, and spasms. That's when I want to say 'what, did you think they'd go away on their own?'. Or they give me a pill and NEVER call to see if the pill worked at all. Dr. Bergman hasn't made any of those assumptions and it just makes me respect her more & more!                                                          Well..time to get busy here. good morning everyone.  I visited with my son yesterday and he is doing tons better.  They changed his pain meds while I was there and it took the edge off his headache so then he was able to eat some crackers and keep them down.  I am thinking maybe he can come home in a day or two.   Sherri I hate that you have to always have a sick tummy.  I wish something would work out for you. I don't have too much to do today, going to Curves in a few minutes.  I have to shop for my granddaughters before Saturday.  I got their message cookies orfered yesterday.  All the kids prefer those over cake.  I am trying hard to stay on top of my eating habits so that I can lose the necessary weight for surgery day.  I do have to do the two week liquids but its not as strict as many seem as we can have a sensible dinner and a few items listed as snacks.  Anyway thanks for listening to me about the weight issue, it helps to be accountable. Happy Wednesday!! For those of you working outside the home, the workweek is almost over...woohoo!! I don't, but my husband has been working some insanely long hours at his new job, and is so excited to have a 3 day weekend with us.   Today I'm heading to the Y here shortly to get in my 1/2 hr on the elliptical and then my trekking class.  Fly home and grab a quick shower, feed the kids, and be at my job by 1pm.  I'm a church secretary one afternoon a week, and I usually go on Thursdays (it's a VERY tiny church, so 3 hours a week is plenty), but I moved my work day to today...I'm getting a hair cut tomorrow! First professional cut in over a year, since March 2007 in fact.  It's gotten so insanely long it's just driving me crazy, and I pull it back all the time anyway.  I'm just getting it cut to shoulder length, so I can still put it up for the Y.   Things around here have been pretty busy with hubby starting yet another new job...he's now at Orkin Pest Control, and LOVES it!! He picks up his company truck here in Kokomo, and his route takes him all over from Monticello to Wabash and all points in between.  This is his third job change since we moved here last May, and he promised it's the last.   I can't believe the 4th is the day after tomorrow already! I think we're going to Tipton that afternoon for a cookout with friends and their fireworks, then Saturday we're spending the day with my family...big parade, then a huge cookout at my mom's house.  I can't wait...I LOVE the holiday!!

Cleaning house can be awful... even is it IS for a good reason....I know about the 20/20.. I quit my 10 year job with the state because they would not move me out of the position I was in.. the Supervisor was HATEFUL and made life miserable for everyone... SO when I had had enough and quit... I let them know exactly what she was and how she handled her people... SHE was demoted 2 weeks after I quit... DARN people if you got a problem speak up to THEIR superior BEFORE you quit... Hindsight 20/20...Looking for a new job....Linda Kay

Good morning, Michelle and all my fellow Hoosiers Losers and soon to be losers.  today is a bit cool but suppose to warm up in to the mid 80's later on. The sun is shinning brightly and all is well with the world.  I have to get ready soon for a meeting at the church. It is my first of 2 there for today. I have another one at 7 tonight. Sometimes I feel like I live there.  I got meals done for yesterday and tonight. I knew that I wouldn't feel like cooking today with the meetings and so I just made up 2 dinners yesterday. You know that might be something for me to remember since it is making my life easier. I am going to do stuff like that if I start working. I know that for a fact.  Michelle, that is so nice that your letting your  brother move in. I think that is going to benefit both of you. He continues in my prayers as you do also. Please keep us posted on how he is doing.  I better get going. I have to get ready to go and meet at the meeting. haha I am sending love and hugs to all and prayers for everyone with special ones being said for those in need of them.

hey everyone! how are all of you this beautiful day? i'm still waiting to hear about that job that i've had 3 interviews for....PLEASE KEEP PRAYING!!! I also had a different interview yesterday for another job I think I'd like quite well so i guess i'll just wait and see what happens...what will be will be right? feeling good...only a month till my 1 yr post op appt with dr huse...i can't believe how time flies...it's amazing... on another front we are trying to have a baby...i think i'm insane! we got married in may, and started trying in may...i had asked dr huse and he gave me the ok since i've had no problems and have met and exceeded his weight loss goal for me...this is month 2 of trying and my period is due on saturday SO it's a waiting game for that too...ugh! i hope it happens quickly...i just turned 35 and we don't want to wait too long....i've had a period monthly since my surgery last august so i'm hoping i'm VERY FERTILE...my baby is almost 11 though so it's been sometime since i've had a baby...it'll be an adventure...keep me in your prayers for that as well! :) ok guess i need to get dressed and get this day going...need to do some laundry...dishes, and get something fixed for lunch :) hugs and love guys talk soon jen :)

Today is my day off,   Bella and I are heading to mooresville pool with some friends. How fun, Bella is sitting here watching The little Mermaid. I did some gardening yesterday, pulled weeds, layed mulch, trimmed bushes, bought some hens and chicks for my pot and Ivy and started a cute little garden.     I have to stay away from the new Walmart, I have spent tooo much money there and I need to go back today...aarrgghh! Anyone going to Clarian support Group tonight? I will be going minus bella this time...see ya there! have a great day.....SHanna

Brenda come on now meals ready for 2 days ,im so unorganized... Jennifer dont try to hard for that baby it ususally happens when your least expecting it but good luck and have fun trying. Shanna omg walmart is so evil..lol I go in to get dog food and come out spending $100.00 man o man my dh says he liked it better when i couldnt go in walmart and my son gets a discount ..but still never less than a $100.00 I put a roast on this a.m. i have to scan pics all day (boring) Everyone else take care and stay safe

Good afternoon everyone. It is strange posting this late in the day, but at least I am still able to post.   Not much going on here today......work was ok last night....kinda different being on swing shift, but thats the price I have to pay for the $$$$.  Please keep Jimmy in your prayers......he just got a call from the casino this morning letting him know that he is "NOT REHIREABLE" and they won't consider any application from him.  He is really depressed and hurt now, and really in a foul mood, so keep us both in your thoughts and prayers.  It is going to be a very rough time until he can get back into some job now.  His last unemployement check cam on Monday, so now we are without any funds at all.  I just hope that I can keep the roof over our heads. We have been invited over to some friends house for supper this evening, so that hopefully will ease his mind some anyway.  Nothing else much planned other than that, so have a wonderful day!  TTYL
