Secret Elf, Directory, Etc.

Secret Elfster:  Think of your mother's 'Secret Pal'.. I hope that everyone was able to enjoy this first exchange for 2008. After the Directory update is sent out in July, I will be setting up the exchange for the 2nd half. To be fair to those who participated well, those who I had recieved negative comments on (you probably should know who you are), will not be recieving an invitation this time around. I have sent Elfster a message to see if there is a way that we can rate how well our elf did. Once I hear back from them, I'll let you know! If you have not let your person know that you were their elf, please do so. If you want to know who your elf is, drop me a note. And...if you think your elf did a good or fair job, please let them know. Remember that the expectation was at least 1 card/ecard/note per month to say 'I'm thinking about you'. Anything more than that is a ++++. Anything less...well...please think about not accepting the invitation to participate if you recieve one..k? I sent out this note to all who participated the first round so we can be sure everyone's email is accepting Elfster mail. Please email me and let me know you had recieved this. To recieve an invitation to participate: You MUST be on the Hoosier Directory. Send the following information to Floyd at [email protected]:  your full name, screen name, address, phone number (important if your elf wants to send you flowers!), significant other's name, surgery date/anniversary date, marital anniversary date, birthdate. Floyd hasn't given a date for the info to be in to him but with a 3 day weekend coming up, why don't we say by July 7th? (Floyd, if a different date would be best, let us know...k?) If you don't get it in by the time Floyd sends out the update, you will have to wait until the next time to participate in the elfster program...which won't be until January 2009.  As stated above, to participate, it is an expectation that you send your person a card, ecard, note, a little gift, something at least once per month. 2 cards in August and then nothing else the rest of the year is not acceptable. 3 ecards the entire time is not acceptable. Ooops, I forgot..meanwhile, receiving cards/gifts is not acceptable. If you do not feel that you can achieve & maintain a good level of participation, please do not accept the invitation. No one would think negative of you for that...only if you say you will, and then don't (which is totally unfair to the name you get).  So..let's make this 2nd round a lot of fun!!! Sherri, July 7th sounds like a good date for me.  I have lots of updates since I didn't get a directory out last month.  I'll be working on it this weekend, so I can get it out next week. Thanks, Floyd
