I'm so grateful for this board
I don't post much these days, but I do check the board almost daily. Every now and then I also look at the lap-band board, but today was a reminder why I don't spend much time there anymore. It just makes me roll my eyes when I see flame wars between DS/RNY/Band people ... what a waste of time! I'm so grateful that I can come to the Indiana board for unconditional support, no matter what surgery is chosen, where or by whom.

I feel the same way AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAMEN, This is my family even if I never get to meet everyone but I pray I can. There is so much support and love even after surgery and before , I love u all,

This is a great board. I am glad we are all able to choose our tool to help us lose weight. We get support here no matter what our choice was. That is how it should be. We are all using a tool. I know a screwdriver does a much better job on a screw than a hammer. It doesn't matter what we've chosen. It does matter that we are all in this together.

I agree.. I am 3 years out and people are still willing to whine, cry or laugh with me!! And yep a screwdriver works better on a screw than a hammer.. The only thing is my neighbor has a daughter who has a friend who was banded.. he got the sneaky feeling the only thing they do to her is move the band up and down to determine how much she is going to eat... Like she told him she want going to get her band adjusted again until after the 4th so she could eat more... I explained even though the band is different I dont think moving it is the answer.. they fill it and tighten the grip... Like what I wish someone would do to my throat every time I see a pc of cheese cake... the only thing that doesnt make me sick...heheh Linda Kay
