Monday

Hi Everyone, It's Monday.  The beginning of a new work week.  I start my new part time job this morning.  I am so excited.  I have been working at a Kroger Fuel Center.  Do you know how much junk food they have in those little cubicles?  It has been such a struggle for me not to eat/drink somthing while I was there.  I always had my own food/drinks with me.  But the chips and soda still called my name.

My new job is at Oxford Learning Center.  I will be tutoring children.  I would much rather do this.  I love watching children work through the challenge.  But the icing is when they finally get it, the "ah hah" moment.  It is so rewarding to see that.  So I start this morning.  The job will continue even after school begins in August.

I have to work my old job later today.  I can get through it because I know my days are numbered. 

I am so excited about the Clothing Exchange this Saturday.  I have so few clothes.  I have 3 XL and 2 L Ziploc bags of clothes to bring.  They range in size from 24-28 and XL to 3X.  I hope someone is able to use them.

G'Day!!  ( I watched Crocadile dundee this weekend) I am going with Hubby to VA to get his blood test then Dr appointment. Because I quit my job I am withhout insurance but he is covered 100% because of an Army related disability. I have to go to a place and put in an application today for an office job and if that don't pan out then I will just keep trying.. and trying.. Sucks getting old... I am just not as saleable to an employer like I used to be... thank God I am not as big as I was 3 years ago.. Have a lovely day folks and wish me luck..Carol yep  working around snack food HAS to be hard... Good for you on your other job!

I feel like such a dead beat.  I havn't been able to particapate in any OH happenings in such a long while.  I don't even have time to get on here and chat much anymore.  I'll be at the Middlebury camp out in Aug and I'm looking forward to that.

It was another work at home weekend. We mowed, I painted trim on the barn, sprayed weeds with roundup, fixed a loose piece of roofing on the barn. Washed windows, and floors and all the bedding. Just a lot of odds and ends jobs. Both days we prepared dinners for friends and family. Our house is kind of the go to house. Sat we had meatloaf, potatoes, greenbean casserole and salad. Yesterday we had grilled porkchops and chicken legs with a corn casserole,cole slaw.  I also made some banana bread with some mushy bananas I had. I'm tired I need to go back to work just to get some rest!  I did take some time for myself last night.  I hadn't even been in my paddle boat since we put it in this year. Last night I got in it and took my sons fishing rod and went out to fish for a while.  I caught 1 nice bass and that was it.  But it was fun just to paddle around and do nothing for a while.

I had to go get blood drawn this morning so was a little late coming into work. Ah well. I totally spaced out having it done Saturday though so I really didn't have any choice about it. I have an appointment this afternoon with an athletic trainer. He's going to try to come up with a game plan to strengthen my pretty much non-existent abs. I had inquired about yoga..if it would be good, and yet, not too strenuous since the last thing I want to do is cause any harm (lord know I have enough tummy difficulties!). So...I have a half-hour consult. This week will just be full of medical stuff! Wednesday, Bill is having another eye surgery & I'll be seeing Dr. Bergman at 9:40. On Thursday, he'll have a 1 day post-op follow-up at 6:45 and then I see my endocrinologist at 8:15.  Yep, REALLY looking forward to Indiana Beach this weekend!!!! I can't wait to relax!          

We did not relax this weekend. Busy, busy, busy!

Well..have a really super-duper day all! It's time for breakfast..and then to get busy!

Good morning, Hoosierland!

So........today is Monday. I hope that everyone has a wonderful one....that is if there is such a thing as a wonderful Monday. I sometimes have my doubts on that one!

It is sunny out there this morning. I am not sure what it is like temperature wise but I am sure it is going to be humid today. It always is out there. After all we do live in Indiana and there is only 2 kinds of weather.......hot and cold. Just like water faucets. If it isn't hot and humid it is cold and freezing.

I have a doctors appointment early this afternoon. I hate going but what is a girl to do? I have some refills to get and then it is off to the pharmacy to get a couple of scripts that I need. All of that is going to be the highlight of the whole day. What a life I lead!!

I am just having a hard time getting use to that bike that I bought on Saturday. I have never rode a bike that has gears and I just can't seem to get use to it. I am suppose to hear it click and I can't since I can't get use to pedaling it. I guess I can't do more than one thing at a time anymore! Ahhhh, how wonderful life gets as you age! NOT!!! I shall keep on keeping on and I will conqour it since I am not going to let a bike get the better of me! I refuse.

I guess I should get going. I have some things to do around here and I want to get them done. I am sending love and hugs to all and my prayers are being said for everyone. Special ones are going up for those in need of them.

Good Day to EVERYONE Well I have 3 more days now so I'm sure this week will be busy for me.I'm ready to go though. My friends had a LAST SUPPER for me yesterday (cookout) it was alot of fun. But I didn"t over do it, I had fruit. a brauts, sweet corn, deviled egg and cheese. I'm scared to go too crazy. I don't want to mess anything up. Well I better get busy I'vegot some more cleaning and painting to do see ya all later

My day had already been busy. I am sitting here at the library in plainfield. I had to drop Tyler off for football camp and then run to the bank and then to the post office, and then to the library to use the " facilities" lol. Call terry to let him know I had my errands done and that he has a dentist appt at 3:00. I am checking out Janet Evanovichs new book. i usually do her cd's om tape but I am not waiting 120 days, I bought one for my secret pal, Jessyca send it back to me when youre done with it. LOL

I have to be at work at 3:00. So thats about it. Hope everybody has a great day. XOXOX shanna

  It sounds like everyone had a busy weekend. I didn't do much of anything, just laid around and watched tv. It looks like the clothing exchange is the place to be on Saturday. I wish I could come, I would love to meet you all. I've been saving my smaller clothes for me as I lose weight I am going back into them.

Some sleep finally!! I'm still just plum exhausted but I actually fell asleep bout 2:30 a.m. and I was up and down a couple times but it was more than 30 minutes between.

I'm unsure if we're going to make the clothing exchange still. I'm starting to deal with some Asthma issues and overall just not feeling real good soooo if it stays like it is where I'm sure 99% of it is Allergy I may be there, if it develops into a cold or something I will not.

We're supposed to be going to Holiday World this Friday I believe. I'm excited and nervous. I'm going to find some SPF 90 sunblock for our trip lol. 50 didn't work too great for me.

Well I think I'm going to finish up breakfast (AcheivOne Cappucino shake YUM). Then play some wii fit and stuff.

hi every one..Ive been aproved for my retirement disalbity thur the post office..yeaaa...now waiting on my money ..ha ha...they aproved me over my liver and heart...now both of my spouse and i are retired ..so young ....never planed this...but god will take care of us....have a wonder ful day every one
