DID ANYONE  feel like it wasn't working? I'll be 2 wks and have lost 10lbs and holding I don't get it.  I'm doing 30 to 40 min on the tread mill a day.  I feel like I'll be the first person it wont work on. I need some feedback, please

Hi when I was in the support group at Frankfort the nurse told that if you stop losing early out then you need to up your protein. I hope that helps. Good luck with the wwweight loss! Michelle

Your body will go through several pauses along your journey. Continue with the walking. At the hospital, I believe they still encourage you to walk at least every 2 hours. If you did that for only 10 minutes each time,  all day, you'd have in 60-80 minutes of walking in a day.

PEW is what most remember when it comes to losing weight post-op: Protein Exercise Water. Increasing at least one of those will help with your weight loss. I know that at 2 weeks post-op, you are probably still struggling to just get it the minimum water & protein. That's ok...that will improve. As you can, increase your walking too.

When you consider that most people GAIN weight while in the hospital from the IV's, bloating, etc and you have to lose that too...so 10 lb in 2 weeks (besides what you gained in the hospital)? That's a pretty good rate really.

I think you're doing fine. I also think that most every, when they have a pause in weight loss, gets terrifed that they will be the person who fails at this. So your worries seem pretty normal too. Just keep doing what you're supposed to be doing. Get in your PEW.

In addition to the 10 I also lost the 7 I gained inthe Hospital but I don't count that because I don't see that as actual weight, just fluids. I'll just up my exercise. I'm getting 62 grams of protein in by noon thanks to the drinks. Thanks everyone for your input.

I have found when I am getting my exercise in.  It's my fluid and protein that affect my weight loss.  If I'm not getting them in I don't lose.

I lost the first two weeks and then the third and fourth weeks I was holding and didn't lose anything.  I've read on the main forum that this happens A LOT at around the 2nd or 3rd week.  Hang in there, you will start losing again.
