Dont be surprised if you never hear anything, my elf has not ask me one question, or sent me one thing as of today, I have sent my person several e-cards, several postal cards and three packages, just dont understand why people signed up to do this if they where not going to follow through with what was ask of them. Actually I guess I do understand they sign up hoping to get a good elf that does things for them, but if they where the ones being treated with no cards, no packages no nothing it would be a whole different story. All I want is a thank you ever now and then but I dont get it either.
I will never be an elf again because I feel so cheated---------------------

If I understand your post correctly, you are having problems with both...the person you are the elf for AND the person who is suppose to be your elf....
First, the one you are buying for. Not everyone says thank you. I have yet to even get an aknowledgement for many of the items I have sent much less a thank you. I do not do this for the thank you though. When I send my packages or cards, I do it with the hope that my person gets to smile a little bit when they see it. That's all.
If you have not received anything, the way to handle it is by EMAILING ME at my home address ([email protected]) so I can get to the bottom of it (as Ellen just did the other day).
I'm sorry that you feel cheated. Shoot..it's not even two months into this. Have you ever thought that maybe your elf might be having medical issues or something? I know I was personally in the hospital for 4 weeks last year so mine got nothing during that time. When I got home, I wasn't allowed to drive for months later so what they got then was what I could handle via computer. I know of another situation to where the elf had a heart attack and was hospitalized. And yet another to where she was in the hospital more than out for a year. This is why I ALWAYS want people to email ME so that I can send a note to the elf so I can try to find out why they aren't fulfilling their promise. Granted, some people just don't. And in those cases, I do boot them out of the program and who-ever was buying for them is asked to switch to the person they were suppose to be getting for. I do NOT allow it to go on & on. BUT I have to know about it first. So please do not come on here slamming the program. It works. There are a few bad apples...but I do my best to weed them out.
By the way....there has also been situations to where the person did not receive anything that was sent as well. One in particular was going through a divorce and their spouse was keeping all the gifts because they thought that they were from the 'other' person. A note to me on that, and I can help to be sure they at least received the items. Another situation, the person moved and didn't bother letting me know so I couldn't let their elf know.
I have worked very hard to try to be sure this is a good, fun program. When there are ANY issues with it, I would appreciate the concerns be emailed to me, not put here on the board. I have no way of knowing who 'Elf' or 'Elf Girl' is...so I cannot resolve anything this way.

Perhaps you should double check to be sure you are entering the correct thing. Most ecard places can let the sender know if the receiver has viewed the card or not. Please try to send another one. If you do not get notified that Ellen has opened it, then please contact me THROUGH MY EMAIL so we can get this resolved. PLEASE do not try to resolve issues here on the board though.
