Why won't your insurance cover any of these? Will your surgeon's office appeal with them to get them to cover it?

I have taken Prevacid before and ever since surgery.  The dietician I had a St. V's told me I could take capsules right after surgery without breaking the open.  Once you swallow them, they begin to dissolve.  I have not had any problem taken capsules of any kind since surgery.  Hope this helps.

Same here.  Previcid capsules since the day of surgery and no problems.

I take pepcid and our insurance pays for them.
Call and see if they can call you in something different..

Prevacid makes a "sol-tab" that dissolves on the tongue ... perhaps your PCP will have samples you can try, make sure you do ok with it?  And if so, maybe insurance will cover that.
