Funny you say that. I too had to do the Albuteral. She said that she was not allowed to say anything about my results to me but that I really should go to my pcp and ask to see the breathing results. (systems of asthsma) I actually never got around to it yet but I haven't had any problems being sick since losing all this weight. At my wt. last couple years I was getting bronchitis every couple months or so. Atleast what I thought was Bronchitis, The testing lady said it was probably ashtma syptoms that was giving me problems. Hmm go figure.
HIGHEST 300 POUNDS!
Sept 07...284lbs.
surgery day 4/16/08...223lbs.
11 months Later...133lbs.
TOTAL WEIGHT LOSS 167lbs.
I MY RNY!
I didn't have to inhale anything at all. She just showed me how to make the meter work and that was it. She did make me do it for two weeks before surgery and two weeks after. I am guessing you might have some asthma related problems due to the weight. I would just practice the breathing before your surgery. You sure don't want pnuemonia afterwards. Other than that... most all my meds were gone by the time I was a week out of surgery. Even Asthma gets better as the weight comes off for some people. I hope you are one of us.
Good luck!
