Happy Thursday

Can't believe I'm the first to wish everyone a happy Thursday.  I got up very early and thought I'd check the board while I was waiting for the water to heat.  I usually check when I get to work and have a few minutes.   Y'all know I'm a lurker, I admit it.

Today is my Friday.  I've been working four ten hour days so I can have Friday's off.  It has worked out very well over the summer.  If my DIL was working or appointments I was home for my granddaughter.  And now if need be I can get her off to school.  Living next door has so many advantages. 

I've missed out on so many of your activities over the summer.  The schedules just seem to conflict every time.  I was going to try and make the exchange this time, but again conflicting schedule.  I am so glad to see so many new losers and future losers on board.  Even though I don't post much or often, I do check in to see what's going on.

Good morning. I just can't sleep anymore. I got my B-12 shot yesterday so that always makes it worse! I am off work today. I am going to check out the local Sears store to see if they carry Dr Rey's shapewear. I just joined myfitnesspal.com. It looks like a great site to track everything. I had a slip up over the weekend but now  am back on track. After just 2 days of some bad eating, I gained 4 pounds! Hopefully I will have that back off soon. I wish each and every one of you a great day!

Hi all! Happy Thursday. I got my lab results yesterday right before I left work. The nurse said they are all withing normal ranges, and everything looks fine. So that's good to know. It's probably just the busy lifestyle that's got me fatigued. I think I also need to be making better choices for breakfasts. I was slipping into an old carbs pattern, and I think the carbs were making me tired. I need a protein breakfast.

Today I'll be working in the day and evening. A long day for me. But we need the money, so it's okay. I'll make due.  I would love to stay home and take a mental health day, but I need the money from both jobs too much, and don't have time to take off. Besides, I have work to do, too, that needs to get done.

Well,.. off to try to get a little more sleep before my day starts.

Good morning to everyone!  BRRRR!  It is cold this morning.  I am glad it is near the end of the week.  ISTEP testing is almost over.  Thank heavens....then we get to do it all over again in the spring this year.  After that we will finally be testing only in the spring.  I am glad someone down in Indy finally saw the light on that one.  I never could figure out why we did the testing in the fall.  The kids are too sluggish in the fall after having the summer off.  By spring they are in top form, even though some will have spring fever by then, I think the scores should be different.  Well enough of this teacher's soapbox.
I am looking forward to this Saturday.  Big festival in Fort Wayne.  It's the Johnny Appleseed Festival.  Lots of fun things to see.  I always enjoy going every year.  I will take my granddaughter as Micah (mom) will need the study time.

I hope everyone wakes up well rested and ready to start the day. I have a few things I need to do to today, only 2 weeks from today till my Abdominoplasty & Hernia repair.
I sent out a card to Brenda R. and she is going to give me a call, I did tell her in the card we miss upbeat messeges and how Misty's doing.
Sherri, my thoughts and prayers will be with you and Bill today, I think today is his Dr appt. call me I promise i will have my cel turned on and charged

Good Thursday all.  It is my Monday at work, so my week is just getting started.  It is going to be a busy week at the casino, so that is great! The busier, the better!
Not much else going on, so have a wonderful day all!

Edited section to add a WOW moment news!!!  I am now wearing size 8 work pants!!! Woooo Hooooooo!!  I can't believe it! LOL  I just had to share that with everyone!

Good morning everyone!

Today is yet another short day (3rd in a row). Bill has a follow-up with Dr. Price this afternoon (@4). We expect him to say that Bill's artificial cornea needs replaced. If they do that, I'd really like for them to replace the shunt in his eye at the same time since he's been having pressure problems as well. The surgery would probably be next week if they have the articial cornea in stock...which, we've known for the last 4-6 weeks that it would probably need replaced so they had time to order it & get it in. I just know they have to do SOMETHING soon because his vision is pretty much as bad as it has ever been.

I had my appointment with Dr. Bergman yesterday. Rather than draining that place (again...it's been done about a dozen times), she numbed it and then made a little slit so that it will rain out. She packed it with a thin strip of gauze and put several gauzes over that. They were all saturated this morning. And of course the numbing is all worn off. I'm ok sitting here right now..but to get up, walk, or sit down? OUCH! I know I didn't get as much packing in this morning when I changed it as she did because it was VERY ouie to try to do. I'm pretty sure I got in enough to prevent it from closing up and refilling with fluid. I hope so anyway. We need it to stay opened long enough for that pocket to heal from the inside->out. She about flipped when she saw my belly. I figured she would.

Well..time to eat my oatmeal & yogurt. Yum... After that, I better get some work done .

Good morning all!

I had a horrible evening last night with gas pains.  It started at work yesterday around 3pm an didnt ease up till about 8 last night or so. It was horrible!  I chewed Gas X and walked the floors then would lay down and pull my knees into my stomach and rub my stomach trying to move that gas around and finally it went away. DH was ready to take me to the ER and I said no its just gas, it will go away.  It finally did, thank god!
Nothing much going on today. Working and then home just a normal day. 
Cant wait till the clothing exchange, I need some clothes.
I have a lot to bring to.

good morning everyone!!  i am soooooo glad it is thursday!! most of my kids at school will finish up istep today! thanks goodness! i am over it, and i know they are!!! i called yesterday and tried to get my pre-op testing moved so i could get that and my nut class on back-to-back days, but there were no other openings since my surgery date is so close!! (15 days!!!) anyway, i have to go next tues to the nut class and then thur i have to go to do pre-op.  i live 2 1/2 hours away so the drive is going to stink!!! oh well! 
pray for us today, we have been trying to close on our house for the last 3 weeks and something always come up.  we ended up having to change mortgage companies and everything, but they told me yesterday everything was good, so we will hopefully be closing/moving tomorrow!!! pray that it is tomorrow, bc greg is off all weekend, and if we have to wait until next week, greg is only off wed and thur and with me gone on tues and thur, wed would be our only day, and i would haev to miss 3 days in a row of work.  so we are praying for it to be tomorrow!!! speaking of missing work... how long did you all take off after surgery???
