Psych Eval is completed... and what dd told Dr. Evanson
Okay... Just a check in since it has been a couple of weeks (WOW how time flies!) since I have last posted. I went today to finish up my psych eval. It hinded up being in 2 sessions because I got lost the first time I went there (last Saturday) and missed half of the session. So we finished it up today. I went to see Dr. Hess. She is absolutely wonderful and so down to earth. I was highly impressed by her. She does normally do this in one session and she does bill to the insurance company. My co-pay was $15 through UHC and they will pick up the tab on the rest of it. I had to get pre-authorization from them to go see her, which was not that hard to do at all. If no insurance her rate would have cost me $475.... $175 for the regular hour time and $300 for the time for her to do the eval and get it sent over to Amy @ Dr. Gupta's office. She told me that she will have that report typed up and sent over to them within 2 weeks and if after a month they say they still haven't received it to call her and she will fax it over to them again.... that she has had to do this before a couple of times. Getting in to see her wasn't that hard, but one thing that I did was I found out BEFORE I even went to the consultation who all the psychologist were that were approved for their center and I called and made the appointment. So... I guess you can say that I have been on her calendar for a month now, but I did schedule it before I went to the center.
I have also completed one of the first sessions for the support group meetings. I actually really enjoyed it and look forward to the one next week. A funny for you... I took my oldest daughter (if you were at that meeting you may remember her being with me) and she embarrassed me to death! LOL... She went up, after the meeting was over with, and told Dr. Evanson that he was "HOT!" I am SOOOOOO glad that I wasn't standing next to her when she told him this.... I think I would have wanted to crawl in a hole and stay there. How embarrassing.... but funny too.

Dr Evanson was my surgeon. I call him "eye candy". My husband just laughs at me. My neighbor was the Surgical Tech in the room. She said he is as nice of a person in surgery as he is out. I am thankful for my support group and my cousin who also had him and recommended him to me. No he is not hard on the eyes that is for sure.
