Good early morning.  It is 5:30 am and I am up.  Oh well, I have to go to work at 9, so it is no big deal.  A friend was in need, and that is why I am up.  Its ok, tho, because as long as I am able to help out, thats what I will do.

Not much going on today.  I didn't get to go to Salem last night to Settlers Day's at Salem.  I am really hoping to get to go this evening. It just depends on if I get out of work early or not.  I hope so.

Since I am up early enough, I think I am going to hit a few yard sales before I have to go to work.  I just like to look more than anything, but ever once in awhile, I do find a great sale!  I am planning on having one in a few weeks, so I want to check out prices, so I will have something to compare to.

Have a wonderful day all.  Take care, and enjoy your weekend!

Hi Lachelle! I'm up early too. I could have slept in a bit today, but my body's used to getting up at 5:30am. So I got up and got dressed and took my dog for a walk/jog for a half hour. That felt good.

Today is Maggie's first tae kwon do testing. I think it's for her yellow belt. And Mikey has his second flag football game. It should make for a busy day, because after those, I have to go get my bridesmaid dress fitted for my sister-in-law's wedding next Saturday, and then I have to work from 4:30-9pm at Sears. I guess it's okay, I like to have things to do.

I am getting really excited about the clothing exchange. My hubby is cashing out an account he used to have, so I'm hoping the check will have come before then, and I can buy some smaller clothes for me. If that's the case, I will have a bunch of size 12 pants and extra large tops/sweaters there. Kathy from Terre Haute said she was going to come with me. If anyone else wants to let me know.

My appointment with the PS is coming up soon on October 13th. I chose that day because it's Columbus Day, and I get off work. So that way I didn't have to blow through time off. I just hope they can convince my insurance to cover any of it. That's the only way I'm going to be able to get anything done.

Talk to ya later!

A big Hi to everyone! I have been up since about 3! Since I could not sleep I decided to clean my kitchen. It needed to be done for my Pampered Chef Open House today but I am cleaning my oven. It is self cleaning but you know what that means! It takes for ever and is so hot in the kitchen that it is good to do it in the middle of the night when it is the coolest part of the day. I washed down my cabinet fronts as they had grape jelly splattered on the front of them. I have to do the floors next.
I hope everyone has a great weekend! Wish me luck on the open house! I will need it here in the small town of Kempton! Again have a great weekend all! TTFN!!!

Good Morning!!!
Whew!! I made it up!! My eyes are open.. It has been so difficult going to bed and getting up in the mornings since I quit my job in March. I fall asleep about 2 and sleep until 9 or 10.. YEC!! After spending 18 years of getting up at 5!!

I am going to the church and scrap book some pictures with a few church buddies. we are going to update and preserve the OLD Scrapbooks that were glued together.. they are getting in very poor shape from miscare and abuse.

I WAS going to babysit the girls tonight but MommyLissa says they are ill and they may just stay home with them.. This change of weather coughs...I am "on call" incase they change their minds..

Have a great day!! I am having a garage sale starting Thurs.. The Orchard down the road is having its annual craft fair and we grab onto some of their customers!! It is usually a VERY BIG weekend!!

Good morning everyone!

I have some really, really good news! My wonderful pcp  was able to get my appointment moved up at IU. It was yesterday afternoon. Bill & I really like this new guy (Dr. Wittles)!! He actually listened and asked questions. He does believe that either there is damage done to the small intestines from the episode last October or that there is a partial blockage in that portion of my intestines (caused from an adhesion from that episode in October!!). Either of those makes a heck of alot more sence that it being from my RNY!! Oh...and at NO time did he even suggest that ALL my intestines were bypassed! LOL! He did tell me to go ahead and get the tests done that the other one had ordered...he said that they would rule out rare stuff. He ordered a test to see if there's any blockages. If this test doesn't show any blockages or doesn't pinpoint the issue, then he's ordering another test that would show if there's other types of damage done to the intestines. Get this....BOTH of these tests are ones that the other GI had mentioned on my very first visit and yet he never ordered either one!! Yes, I am SO much better off with this new guy! I am stuck at home all weekend though because of these tests. One is a 24 hr collection of urine (today), one is a 24 hr collection of bm (tomorrow), and the third is bloodwork, which I'll have pulled when I bring these collections in on Monday morning. Oh...I don't know when that first test is going to be yet. I'm waiting for IU to call me with the date. This new guy also was able to give us a little insight as to WHY all of this happened in the first place! Every time we asked any of the surgeons we got the same answer: it could have been alot of things, but don't worry, it won't happen again. He said that it the majority of cases it's because of scar tissue. Either the scar tissue pressed down on the intestines and blocked the blood flow..or more likely, it pushed down in just the right way to cause the intestines to flip over on themself and block the flow. Scar tissue makes ALOT of sence for my body. Remember..it was scar tissue that caused me to have to have the 15 endoscopies for strictures. I have a 'female' issue due to scar tissue over-growth too so the idea of too much scar tissue causing this? VERY plausible!

So..as if yesterday wasn't a good enough day, we went to Meijer's and I found out that Stephen King had a new novel out...so I bought it! Yay! Then I got to  with my buddy Gail. It was a VERY good day for me!!

Linda...who are you going to go see for PS?

Everyone..have a good day! Now, I hope my good luck stays with me. I have to figure out why my darn printer won't print...and why Uncle Sam screwed up our taxes!

My consultation is with Dr. Bergman/Dr. Grassee's office. I don't remember which one specifically though. I've heard good things about both though.

I am having a slow start to my saturday.  I got up at 8 which is late for me.  But I have been battling dehydration all week.  I was so weak and tired yesterday, i barely made it thru the day.  But since it was Tyler's first time playing tackle football on the high school field under the lights and everything, I had to make it work.  It was so fun seeing him out there.  He looked so tiny but he did an awesome job.  Hard to believe he's almost 11 already.  Time goes too quickly.

We have conference football games all day at Ball State today so I have to get my protein shakes down and pack some to take along.  I am pushing fluids trying to get back to normal.  That is if there ever was a normal for me!  LOL

Sherri, so glad to hear you are gaining ground with this doc.  My mom went down there when they told us she had liver disease and the docs were awesome and we never regretted taking her there.  They are so knowledgeable and open with us.  Hope you feel better soon.

I am gonna conquer laundry mountain before heading out to Muncie so I better get off here.

Happy Saturday to all of you and have an awesome weekend.

(I love my WLS family!)

Ugh, I'm working on landscaping ... pulling up old bushes, rocks and stone borders, getting ready for the pros to install new stuff next week.  It's hard work, but I can't wait to see how it all looks when it's finished!  Hope everyone has a great weekend!
