Food!!
I went through St Vincent's program so our programs are very different. We advance stages by months so my advice would be to contact your dietitian or surgeon's office and find out what your allowed to have.
If you can post some of what you can have we can maybe help suggest different ways of trying it but I don't know what "phase 3" is.

Rachel,
Okay now that i've had a minute to sit and look at the binder......
Phase three is Regular consistency foods...
You can pretty much eat anything that is low sugar, low carbs, low fat. This is gonna be what you will eat until you reach goal and then you will go on maintanence. I make alot of soups and stews..1 because they are easy and easy for the family to eat when I am not there. Go out and get you a diabetic cookbook or checkout recipes online. I use ALLRECIPES.com alot. I make chicken chili, chili ( ohio style not indiana style w/ the random noodles floating around)(what's that about, anyway. LOL) Beef stew. I use Barilla pasta plus, which is high protein. Or any wheat past with the highest protein count. I sub. ground turkey to lower fat % in my chili, spaghetti, taco salads or use ground sirloin, which is lower fat than the cheap junk. Just buy it on sale if you can and freeze it. I cook alot of roasts. Chicken and I do not get along but before surgeyr I made alot of bake chicken or rottissere chicken, which is very moist. Taco salads are yummy for the family just don't eat the tortilla. I coould go on and on. Pm me if you want more. sorry so long :) SHANNA
