Questions re clothing exchange
Hi, everyone. I am 3 weeks out from lap band surgery, and have been haunting that forum for a while. I just remembered to check the state forum today - seems lots of people are doing very well with their weight loss!
I keep seeing posts about your clothing exchange, but I went back several days and couldn't find the original posting. Is it open to anyone and everyone? Would there be anyone there who needs size 20 or 22 clothes? If it's still open, I'd like to know the details about where and when, etc. Just reading about the dishes people are making has me wanting to drive down!

Here's the information that Robin supplied on 8/28/2008 about the clothing exchange:
Calvary Chapel on the Horizon
1117 Brigeport
Indianapolis, IN 46231
Saturday October 4, 2008 11:00 am - 3:00 pm
Please bring unstained unripped washed clothes to exchange with everyone. Also a Bariatric friendly dish.
We will still be doing the 15 minute rule. To all that don't understand it. Here is an explanation of it. ...
The Exchanges purpose is to exchange clothes instead of buying them every three months for those of us who have had surgery. We open the Clothing exchange to everyone. Pre op, post op, those just thinking to have it, family members, Etc. But do to events that happened in the past a 15 minute rule was put into effect. The first 15 minutes only post ops are allowed in the clothes area. After that everyone can join. There will be an announcement saying when we can start looking and another announcement when the 15 minutes are up and everyone can join in. ( I will do better this time around about saying when the 15 minutes is up last time I forgot so sorry to all those that waited long after the `5 minutes) .
The Church we are using is letting us use it free of charge. It does have a food pantry so if anyone would like to donate to it that would be great.

Welcome to the Indiana forum the people on here are great! The support you get from them is just wonderful! Any questions this is where to come! Well got to go get my clothes ready! Hope to see you Saturday!

Thanks for the warm welcome. I was lurking on this board alot over the summer, but as my surgery got closer I was spending alot of time on the lap band board, pestering them with my questions!
My children both have activities on Saturday, and I haven't found out for sure if my DH is going to be free to take that on, so I can be at the exchange. I guess I'll just play it by ear. I definitely have a few things that someone might be able to use, but I've only lost around 30, so alot of my stuff still fits. I hope I can get rid of ALL of it at your next exchange, in 3 months!
Hope to see you on Saturday~
