Today is the day........

Well, today is my one year anniversary of this wonderful new life of mine. I just can hardly believe that one year has gone by so quickly. My life has changed so much that it is hard to realize that it is mine.

I am so much more confident and sure of myself. I know that I am a worthwhile person and that I am not a second class citizen. I have good thoughts and ideas and they can be useful to others and to myself.

I can shop in the misses department now. I never thought that would happen. I find clothes in the resale shops and rummage sales and they are larger sizes. I wonder to myself where were they when I need them. I find things are just look at them and think that they will not fit. I still see the person that was 104 pounds heavier. I have my doubts that will ever change but I know that I am smaller.

I want to thank you all for the support that you have shown to me during this past year. I couldn't have done it without all your support and love. You have loved me unconditionally and for that I am grateful. I always say that this place is the only one that loves me warts and all. Thanks for loving my warts too. I am so looking forward to many more years of sharing and having all of you in my life. My new and improved one at that!

that tells what kind of life you have lived.

Getting to know your "true self" is such a challange and so rewarding- being true to our beliefs, ourselves, putting our life into perspective, asking for what we need & want, oh, just so much.
You have done an amazing job, your health has improved & you are OK, warts & all- I think we ALL have them-thats why we all accept & understand each other on here!!!!

Brenda,

Congratulations to you on this wonderful anniversary!!  You have been an inspiration to me for the past 6 months - not only for your weight loss but for your faith.  You are always so positive - even when things aren't going quite your way!!  I'm so happy that you are loving yourself for who you are and recognizing that you are a "worthwhile person".  We all should realize that about ourselves....and so, once again you have taught us all something important!!

God Bless,
Barb

Barb, I am so glad that my sharing has been helpful to you. I wish only the best of things for my wl family. Everyone here has been so helpful to me on my journey. I have learned so much from OH that has helped me along my journey. I know that God wants us to love ourselves because it is through loving ourselves that we know how to love others.

May God continue to bless you and yours on your own personal journey through your new life.

Thanks for the words of encouragement that you said. It is a wonderful trip and someone said that I need to wait for the 2nd year since it is bumpy and windy. I guess it is kind of like a marriage. The first year is the honeymoon and then we get down to real life. I am ready for it though. I will just take it a day at a time and take what ever comes my way. ha ha

The best of luck and plenty of hugs as you go on your journey also.
