Could ya'll keep my hubby Terry and I in your prayers and thoughts tommorrow. We have to be at IU outpatient center downtown at 6am monday morning for his Eartubes. They will be putting him under I guess. He has never ever been in a hospital since I have known him and before. He was even born at home in the Bat hroom. ( I swear to you) I know he is very nervous. He has moderate hearing loss in both ears because of it. This all started last Feburary. I made him an appt in July and we have been working on a solution ever since. Well he is getting tubes put in tommorrow. He has never been under anesthesia before (Obviuosly) so I am a little nervous for him1 Thanks Shanna

Will keep Terry and you in my prayers. If it's any help, both my kids have had ear tubes and it' very quick and they bounce back really fast. Hope the tubes help his hearing!

It shouldn't take all day.  Emily has had ear tubes and I think we were there 3 hours or less from check in time to discharge.  It's super quick!

Good luck tomorrow.  Keep us posted.

Shanna - I just said a prayer for Terry and for you.  I remember how scary that first time in the hospital can be.  It is almost 6:00 so I figured you needed extra prayers right now.  The ear tubes should make a huge difference in Terry's hearing, in fact, noise may bother him today and tomorrow since he has been listening to the world like his head has been submerged in a pool of water for several months now it sounds like.  Keep us posted.  Hugs to you both.  Karen

Shanna...sending out a little prayer for Terry and you too.   I know at the hospital I work at they  schedule those surgeries about 30 minutes apart, so it is quick.  Hopefully his hearing will be sooooo much better, of course men do have' 'SELECTIVE"  'hearing so I don't know if he will hear your yelling anyway...LOL

Have verything crossed in hopes that all goes smoothly! Both my girls have had them and now we are looking at my grandson possibly being next. Two infections this month...not a good sign. but the surgeon is the same as they had and they are in and out so fast! It will be a breeze!
