Hey I am up too early again today!! I hope everyone has a great Sunday! On my agenda for today is going to the store to get some butter is first on my list. Then I am going to be baking some YUMMY things! I am going to be going to my neighbors to a going away to BOOT CAMP party! Their oldest son is going to be leaving tomorrow for the National Guard boot camp. They are having a going away party for him and said that you could bring finger food if you want so I decided to make some Chicken and Noodles, Persimmon Pudding, and some Apple Crisp. I know that isn't finger food but what they don't eat I can send with my DH to his home away from home. Since he is working at Bloomington and staying at my cousins in their camper and is only home on weekends I thought that I could send some of it with him so he doesn't eat them out of house and home! LOL!  SO the persimmon pudding calls for 1 stick of Margarine and I don't have any. So all the desserts will be made with Splenda and I already had a box of that.
The party is from 4-6 so everyone will have to eat fast!
After going to get the butter I need to do Laundry to get his clothes washed up for the week and get mine ready to start my new job. I am nervous about this job because it is talking to folks just like yourselves that buy electronic things and can't get them to work because of not knowing how to hook them up or just not get how to work them after hooking them up. "READ THE OWNERS MANUAL JUDY" That is my DH's mother and her mother tells her to read the owners maunal because she never does and is always asking Dh how to work something. Must be too lazy to look at the manuals!
Well that is my day and doesn't it sound exciting? Went to church last night so I could have today to get stuff done!
So have a great day yourself and make the best of it! YA HEAR!! TTFN!

Hello! Happy Sunday! Yesterday, we all got up at 3am. We left for Louisville at 4am for Mike's tae kwon do tournament. It started at 8am, but he had to be there  before then to register. The tournament lasted until 12noon, and Mike won 2 - 2nd places and 2 - 3rd places. I was very proud of him. After the tournment ended, we drove back over into Indiana, and got lunch in Jeffersonville, at a Big Boy. It was a nice restaurant for low budget. Then began the drive home. It took forever because we kept having to make potty stops for the kids, hehe. Oh well, we didn't have to be home by any certain time, so that was fine. It was a nice day all-in-all.

Today, Sunday, Mike and the kids are going to work on the house, and I'm going to go to work at Sears from noon till 6pm. Not too bad of a shift. Then tomorrow it's back to work at VR. Friday was a particularly good day there. We had a day long staff meeting, which was not particularly good. The good part was that I got upset by something in the staff meeting, and instead of showing that or tearing up or something, I handled myself really well. I presented my points, and made my arguement, and things worked out okay. I felt really proud of myself. A couple of years ago I would have been in tears over the situation and not stood up for myself.

Good morning! Looks like it's gonna be a little soggy here in Richmond today, but we have had a glorious Fall so I can't complain.

I'm sitting here drinking my hot Click and playing on the computer a little bit before I get busy on my transcription. Then it's church and more work later. I'll take a walk or a bike ride and do my upper body work sometime later. My house could use some attention, too, since both kids have been home from college this weekend. Love to have them, though, the mess is worth it!

Hope everyone has a happy, blessed day!

Good morning all!  I am up early as always.  Today is the Making Strides Breast Cancer walk in Louisville, so I needed to get up and get my vitamins taken and get my protein in for the day.  I want to go to the gym before driving down, just so I can get stretched out and limbered up before the walk.  I don't want to pull a hamstring or anything like that! LOL  It is going to be a great day for the walk!
We are going to take Jimmy to the Bass Pro shop for his birthday today while we are walking.  He gets to drool all he wants and spend his gift card that we got him.  I know he is just as excited as we are!  I did get some great news last night in regards to him getting rehired at the casino.  I met with the director of human resources last night.  She happens to be the consultant for Tastefully Simple too, so she was the one to do my party and I had to get it closed out.  Anyway, after we were finished closing the party, I asked her if we could work on getting Jimmy rehired.  We knew that his previous attendance, due to his migraines was causing a problem for him to be rehired.  I told her that it was fully disclosed previously, and we did try to get intermittent medical leave papers filled out, but weren't able previously.  We MUST get it across to them that his attendance can be resolved as long as we can get the medical papers filled out.  She said that she will pull his file, and talk it over with the manager in charge of hiring, and explain to him that if this is the only thing keeping him from being rehired, then she will take care of it herself, and hire him back!  What a wonderful bit of news!  We know it may take up to 2 weeks for it to be fully processed, but its getting there! Keep praying! We are!
Have a beautiful day if you can. Keep all of us walking in your thoughts and prayers.  Give us the strength to finish the walk! Gotta go now.  Have a wonderful day!

Well I have been up for about an hour. I was really hoping to get to sleep in...not happening! So now I am sipping my coffee and just finished cleaning the kitchen up from late night raiders (three teenagers) that did not do a very good job! Today is the cancer walk in Louisville....so headed down to that. hopefully I will be able to do it. i have not walked more than a mile at a time so they may have to soll me the rest of the way! We will see. This has been a goal I set back when Lachelle first mentioned it and so I have been walikng back and forth to work as well as anywhere I need to go to. We live in town but it is still a 1/2 mile to my work...one way. We will have good friends and conversation so I am sure it will go easily and keep my mind off the rest! Both my girls are going as well. My scare this summer really opened their eyes and educated them on this disease. All my mother's immediately family died from cancer so it is a scary thing. She had it as well but it was operable thank goodness!  So.....they weather is going to be great so we are off to enjoy! The drive down will be gorgeous since all the trees are at their prime colorwise. That is rejuvenating to say the least! Less than a week til Halloween!!!!!

Michelle....have a great party! Persimmon pudding....mmmmmmmm!!!! I had that last year as my birthday cake. yummmy

Lachelle...catch ya in a few!

Linda...Good For You! I think it is great that you have made such strives within yourself as well as weight wise! Don't work to hard today! Congrats on the placement for Mike as well!

To everyone else....have a really fun day! Go out and play in the leaves! Take a walk...Enjoy the colors!

Good morning all!

I  thought we were suppose to move the clocks this morning...? My CPU and one of my alarm clocks automatically is suppose to synch up but all the other clocks have to be 'set' They all say is 8 am. Guess I was wrong about when to do the DST thing!

Boy was I worn out when I got home yesterday! I worked from 8:30-4:30. A little OT is going to look nice on the check though. I just hope my boss can appreciate the amount of work I've done. You don't really realize how long it takes sometimes unless you are the one doing it. I have gone through & packed what we are taking of all of the cabinets. I didn't get everything though from the lab benches & up (shelves). I have most of my desk stuff packed up. Monday will be spent in the chillroom (brrrr!)..trying to get it done. There's not alot I can do in there though since alot of stuff needs washed. Stuff like that is a no-no for me right now. I'm going to ask Kelly to help me out some in there though. If she puts a bottle of water on each machine, I can set the programming to flush out the lines. The movers won't move them otherwise.

Michelle...are/did you make your persimmon pudding with fresh persimmons? If so, what piece of cultery was inside? Old wives tale..if it's a knife, the winter will be cutting cold. If it's a spoon, lots of snow. If it's a fork, mild. Your mil is actually doing what most women do with the manuals. More men read those suckers than women do. That's why there's the big ha-ha over women not being able to operate a VCR.

I'm gonna kick back and take it easy today. This week is going to be something else at work...so I need the rest while I can before it starts!

You all have a good day today!

Sherri, every persimmon I have opened up had spoons in them.  I guess we are in for a heck of a snow this year then!  Even the black wooly worms don't even have any stripes on them this year, and that means even more bad winter weather! Uggh! Enjoy your day off!

LaChelle,

What does that say about US when WE are the ones repeating 'OLD wives tales'? LOL! I really could do without snow this year (or any other year as far as that goes!). But I guess that goes with living in Indiana.

Good morning everyone.  I'm still sick and snuffly, so I plan to just sit my butt in the computer chair and reorganize my office.

Sherri, the time change was delayed this year till November.  I believe it is next Sunday when we change our clocks and get that much needed extra hour of sleep!

Hope everyone has a great day!
