Ornament Exchange

Troy just told me over the weekend that Floyd & Brenda called to invite us to the ornament exchange.  He can't remember what the date is though.  Anyone remember?

Oh and a special note to the Curvins, I'm not avoiding you!  I just have a forgetful husband.  I hope we can make it because we love spending time with you guys!  Luci was even playing with Curvin the shark this weekend.  Maybe that's what sparked Troy's brain!

The Ornament Exchange is December 6th at 11:00 a.m.

I'm planning on being there.  Looking forward to meeting new faces and seeing old friends.

 

Is the ornament exchange for everyone?  I would like to meet everyone if at all possible.  If someone would give me the rules and what is expected, it would be greatly appreciated.  That is if I am allowed to come.  Nothing like inviting myself huh???

The exchange is open to all members on the board & their spouse/sig. other. We each bring a wrapped/gift bagged ornament for the exchange (bring one for your guest too so they can participate!). We also bring a WLS friendly dish. The party will be taking place in Floyd & Brenda's home. Last year there were ~30 people there or so. Brenda & Floyd don't have any children so their home isn't 'kid proofed' so I would really recommend this be a time away from the kids for Mom & Dad. Shoot..it's not Sherri-proofed either. Clutzy me knocked something right off their wall last year! I will try to be much better this year!

I know that Brenda & Floyd would appreciate anyone who plans on coming to let them know in advance so they'd know how many to plan for.

I am planning on coming and maybe I will let my husband come to if he is behaving himself! I am not sure though as I don't know what days I will have off. They do the schedule in 30 day incements. They are open 7 days a week so I am still waiting on when I will be working after the 2  weeks training. If someone can give out directions I would appreciate it. I am coming from north of Indy. Hope to see ya there! Michelle

The best approach would be to check the Hoosier Directory for their address & them put it in Yahoo maps/Mapquest. Just be forewarned...those coming in from 465 on the north side...there is ALOT of road construction going on Pendleton Pike right now. It has been all year so I would fully expect it to still be going on in December. You can get through, but it may take a little extra time.

For those coming from 70 or 465 on the south side, your instructions will probably tell you to get off at Post Road or Shadeland. With either one, if you go east on 38th instead on Pen Pike, you can avoid alot of that mess. You'd turn left (north) at German Church ...which turns into the road you'd turn left off of Pen Pike.

As the time gets closer, I'm sure Brenda & Floyd wouldn't mind assisting at all in being sure you all get there without getting lost. If you do get turned around, be sure to have their # and my cell # on you. Bill (my hubby) grew up here so he could get you there no matter how turned arounf you may be, I think.
