OK....

Twas the morning after Halloween,
Boy am I tired!
But not like my daughter;
Cause I left my grandkids wired!

Tootsie rolls and suckers;
Juice and chips.
They had enough energy;
They were all doing flips!

Hehehe...yep. Mamaw (me) put on the Tigger costume and paid the grandkids a visit after our neighborhood goblin hours were done. We had only gotten 28 kids! I was so disappointed! 4 years ago we had 140! So...I brought ~70 bags of chips and 90 Caprisun juices to the kids. I also had little trick or treat buckets for each of them with candy in it. Tiff didn't take them out since they've all been fighting ear/sinus/respritory infections. I wanted them to be able to enjoy Halloween though. That youngest one...Rodney Jr....OMG, he was so dang cute! Yes..I'm partial, and yes, I know I shouldn't be. You only have to be around him 2 minutes though and you'd understand why. Tiff took some pics of me with the kids. As soon as she emails them to me I'll put them on here.

If that poem up there looked familiar, go back and read the one from yesterday. We'd love for you all to be able to join us for dinner this Monday night at Lincoln Square (on 21st between Shadeland & Post on Indy's east side) at 6. So far, Emil & Becky, Floyd & Brenda, and Annette plan to join Bill & I. It doesn't matter what kind of surgery you had or will be having...or if you even plan to have a surgery or not! We'd love to meet you. This is a family restaurant with a wide variety menu so there should be something for everyone on it. Even at my earliest post-op stage, I was at least able to get cottage cheese there.

Now..on to more serious stuff. The mock pill DID make it out of the small intestines. I went through a spell yesterday morning to where my stomach poofed up to 42" and I was hurting pretty good. I think that was probably when it was going from the small to the large intestines. The x-ray did show it in the large though so the camera test is going to be scheduled. The tech part of me thinks that is cool...the patient part of me is a little scared. I just hope it FINALLY shows what is taking place in there because something definately is NOT right. I got home to a letter waiting from me from Dr. Gupta's office. Several of my labs came back off. They sent a copy to Dr. Greist (Hematologist..the white count was too low...again), Dr. Zaidi (Endocrinologist..thyroid was off as well as three others that he also tracks), and Dr. Fecht (my EX-GI...not sure why HIM instead of my present GI...????). I was surprised that my pcp wasn't on the list so I let her know about them. I would had rather they just sent it to her and Dr. Zaidi quite honestly. And you know me...I googled each of the ones I didn't have a clue about. I am just hoping they are all a mal-asorbtion thing because of the diarhea. That's probably wishful thinking, but one can hope...right? I go to see Dr. Zaidi Wednesday so hopefully he can give me some insight as to what the results mean as a whole. Separately as per Google? Hmmm...hepatitis? liver disease? heart attack? anemia? disease of the imune system? viral infection? I think the one that probably points to mal-absorbtion the most though is the TSH (thyroid). When I went into the hospital last October, I was maintaining on a 137 mcg dose. Since then, he had to up it to 150..then to 162. The TSH is STILL close to twice the upper limit of what it should be (suppose to be 0.45-4.5 and it's 7.02) which is saying I'm not getting enough synthroid. I am still very diligent at not eating for at least an hour after taking it. I wait at least 4 hours for my vitamins. I even wait at least an hour to take my pain med & anti-spasm meds..and some days, that is very hard to do! Anyway..this week should be interesting with doctor phone calls as soon as they get those results. Ummm...I think Dr. Greist will call first.

Well foks..have a good day and try to enjoy this beautiful weather!

We would love to come, Sherri, but with everything that has been going on lately, and the fact that it is a school night, we won't be able to meet up with everyone.  We will have to try again sometime.  Thanks for the offer tho. We would love to see everyone again really soon!
