Yep, Happy Monday it is!

Here I am on my first unemployed morning and guess who woke up at 5am without an alarm.  Geez, hard habit to break.  So, I decided to check the boards and get started with my day.

I hope all of you have a great day no matter what your plans.  Mine are to do some housework and closet cleaning.  Yeehaw!

Go take on the day!

Hugs to all,
Tracy

Good Morning Tracy,

Hey when you're done with your closet...mine could use a good cleaning too. :-)

I had hubby pull all of my clothes out of the closet yesterday so I could go through everything. Now I have to put a lot of it back.  Not much fun.

I'll be spending my day doing a TON of laundry.

Have a great day all!

Good Monday morning fellow hoosier losers.  I kind of like Monday's because we get back into our normal routine.  My neighbor Shelia (Ladygirl) invited me to go to our clubhouse with her yesterday.  The entertainment commitee was having a thanksgiving day dinner and honoring veterans.  We played a couple games of euchre after dinner.  It was so nice to get out of the house and be around people.  I would have never went by myself, so I thank her for the invitation.  Not much on my agenda today, straighten up a few things around the house and Curves.  I also would like to get my carpets cleaned today.

Everyone have a great day ...time to get into my routine lol.

Good morning everyone!

Brrrrrrrr! It's cold here at my desk too! I think I'm going to go get some of my sf instant oats so I can get some heat in me. My hands are frozen! I'll be spending much of my time today at my desk, updating the inventory list that I did a few weeks ago to include the stuff that we unpacked. We're having a meeting Thursday to try to see how we can best combine things.

Let's see..this week, I have an appointment with Dr. Bergman on Wednesday (so far, my leg is NOT filling back up with fluid! YAY!), Bill has an appointment with Dr. Price on Thursday, and I'm waiting for the upper GI to be scheduled. I have a short 1/2 hr meeting today and the one Thursday will probably be for 2 hours. Next weekend, Bill & I are picking up our two grandsons and taking them for haircuts. That's always been a 'Mamaw' thing for each grandshild every since the oldest one's first haircut. It's the only way I can be sure that they don't shave the boys heads!

Well..time for breakfast.Oh...I eat an Activia yogurt too. I think I brought strawberry with me today.

Sherri

Tracy....I typically wake up at 4-5 on my days off and TRY to cuddle with Bill for awhile but by 6, my body makes me get up. When I was off for 7 months, I usually was awake by 7 even then.

Good morning everyone,

I went out Saturday for the first time since my female repair surgery stuff.  I went to the doctor on Friday but have to go back on this Wend.  I am  little bummed out,  I was really hoping that why I was off I could walk , walk , walk and get some pounds off or at least keep it off while I am off for FMLA,  But the doctor told me no walking for at least 2 more weeks and not fast walking tell at least my 6 week check up,  Believe me after what happened with my hysterectomy I don't want to make things worse , but I don't want to put on extra weight oh and my muscle tone will be even worse now.  On a good note I did find a few items for Christmas for the boys and bought something for me at JCPenny's what a sale they had Saturday.   I usually get my stuff at Goodwills or garage sales,  but this was the first time I bought a new coat leather at that.  It was 60 bucks and was for 250.00  I had always wanted a leather coat, but couldn't bring my self to buy it, I am sure if I was by myself I wouldn't of gotten it but the person I went with told me I should get it.  I buy new coats for my boys,  Treat yourself so I did.  So my Christmas present to myself. :)

Hi Everyone,
I am posting from St. V's- Penny's surgery went great! They got in at 8 & done by 10:30, so not bad. She'll be in recovery for another 2 hrs. then to a room. She did have alot of adheasions & infection  so Dr. had to remove so had to put in staples. Sounds just like her Mom! Then he said she should be able to go home Wed. if all goes well. I just wanted to thank everyone for their prayers- keep  them coming please!

On a side note, I'll be doing her parties for the next month- look out Holly & Shanna here I come- woo~hoo! Girls just wanna have FUN!!!
My best friend is going to fight her firing issue- they did it illegaly & didn't advertise it & false reasons. Luckly she has friends in the Library world who know what she needs to do to fight this! 14 yrs, & nothing ever had been brought up- isn't right!!!!
Oh, if anyone whats to~ I am having a Pampered Chef party on the 23rd. so come on over. It is at 3pm. The more the merrier!!!I am trying to send invites, but don't have everyones name.

I will be running alot back & forth the next few days- so will catch up with you all when I can. Take care, lots of smooches & (((((((((hugs)))))))))))))

Woohoooo Monday...
Sometimes it is hard for me to tell what day it actually is!!  I had my first episode of having a food yesterday and all going well, to having the same food today and it NOT going down well.  This amazes me.  I have heard people telling me that but things are never so real until they happen to you.
I am supposed to go to a bariatric seminar at the hospital where I had my surgery tonight.  My surgeon wants me to talk about my experience thus far. I am diabetic and my blood sugars are near normal now without any insulin or medication.  I was taking 260 units of insulin a day and 120 lantus at night.  My bs would still be 250+ when I woke up the next day.  So at 5 weeks out, that is a feat.  Its just one of those days where I do not want to go anywhere, see anyone. Due to the injury from my surgery last Feb, I have chronic pain in my lower left leg/ankle/foot. Today is one of those days where the pain woke me up alot last night. I still can't tolerate a full dose of the pain medication on my new stomach.  So the pain is something I have to deal alot more since my Lap RNY.
I see all of the things you guys are dealing with...loss of jobs... illnesses... etc and I feel so guilty for feeling this way. I bury my nose in my Joyce Meyer books and pray alot. That does help.
I see the updated profile pictures, read your profiles... you all are such inspirations!  So logging on here today was good thing for me.  Thanks everyone :)
Blessings to you all, Leah

Hi All! IT is a sunny cold day here in Kempton. I am sitting here checking everyones'postings out before taking a late shower and heading for Lebanon to do a haircut for a friend.
Tomorrow is the big scary day! I start answering phone calls about how to hook up everything to Philips televisions. This is the job my husband should have since he worked on TVs for years. I had a 2 week grueling training on the ins and outs of the hooking up of DVD, VCR, and satellite dishes. If there is any one that will screw things up it will be me. I am so nervous about it. All the computer screens that are supposed to be helpful and I can't remember a one of them. No notes to be on the desk while taking the calls.
Leahjv just was wondering which one of the Joyce Meyer books you are burying your nose in? I love her and went to see her conference in Indy a few months ago. She was great but the "worship music" was not my cup of tea. Again she is just great and puts things into today's scenarios. I am praying alot these days also what with my financial problems and the others that I know that are having hard times!
Leah good luck with the food it has no rhyme or reason when it comes to tolerating things.
I hope everyone has a great day!! Michelle
