Yea... that drain is a little hard to explain... it was like 10 seconds of pure hell coming out but the relief you felt once it was gone can't be described either.. I had one too...
Congrats on the 20 pounds... kiss them goodby forever!!!Sip sip sip... do the best you can getting all the protien in but don't stress it.. I swear it will work out and you will be able to do it!!
Yep the Bari floor is awesome!!! I know one nurse had the surgery and knew exactly where we were... I had a night nurse named Kathy that was a real help in many ways!!
Be well and do the best you can..

I also had Dr. Huse about 17 months ago and I did not have a drain. So it must be a patient to patient type thing. I think you are the first one of Dr. Huse's patients that has posted that you had a drain. I wish you continued success. My surgery was on a Friday and Dr. Huse also came in on the weekend after I had my surgery. I have followed everything Dr. Huse and the dieticians have told me to do and I am at a place I want to stay. This is now the hardest part of the journey that we are all on. When I was working toward a goal it was easy for me to say no, use will power to all the things that are and continue to be the wrong things to eat. Now I am at a place I want to stay and I sometimes tell myself just one little bite won't hurt, and then the one leads to two. I am not sure if I will dump on sugar and I am not pushing that button to find out either. Not knowing is what is keeping me within my boundaries. I do know that I have a terrible reaction (bad belly ache) to fats if consumed in excess. I can go over the recommended 5 grams but when I get to about 15 grams fat per serving I react so I try to not go there. Right now peanut butter is very hard to resist because it tastes so good on apples and bananas and then my justification is it does have protein in it.
It's alway's nice to know someone is thinking about you! lol!! I was nervous before still am! But I know what I want! And I know what I want to look like and the thing's I want to do! I just hate that I let my life get to the point that I had to resort to the point that I had to let someone cut into me and rearange thing's that worked!! It gives me something to remember everytime I think about what to eat!
Thanks Everyone! I appreciate All of you being around! This is great forum! Thinking of trying to go to my first Meeting in Plainfield Tonight! That is 1st post-op! lol!!
