X Post: Any Indy peeps want to tune into Radio Now 100.9 Wednesday 11/19

That is an excellent Idea!  I know they do keep all there recordings, I would love for them to send me audio to keep it as a journal that would be fantastic!  I am going to see if I can do that.  Thanks for the idea!  Since my surgery is at 8:30AM I am not too sure how my schedule for that morning is going to pan out because I know you can't use cell phones in certain areas of the hospital.  I know I will be in the waiting room for awhile so I will call them then which most likely will be around 7 or so.  Hopefully the radio DJs are interested enough interested in WLS so I can express the right information about the surgery. 

And yea that guy in the indy star is a nut job!  Did he even have the surgery sherri?  Because if he did he is sadly mistaken!  Do you know how long ago that article was written?  I would love to read it!  Thanks!

That idiot did have RNY. Dr. Jones was his surgeon. I think his surgery was ~5-6 years ago.  I tried to search their Archives online but I couldn't find it. He was the one who coined us as 'Barries'. Totally ticked some people off at the time (~2003-4). I personally hope that IndyStar fired his butt! He made bariatric surgery look bad...and to us post-ops, he made IndyStar look bad. I know I wrote the editor more than once over his BS.

We all know of someone who had WLS, lost weight, and then turned around and regained all of the weight back & more. That's because if you are bound & determined to sabatoge it, you can. WLS helps you to make a lifestyle change..but you have to be willing to make that change for a lifetime. That idiot wasn't. We know someone who had lapband...a year later had it revised to RNY...and STILL gained weight! My dh was against me having WLS until we bought a bar and this guy worked for us & Bill saw him stuffing his face with potato chips & M&M's. Bill has been 100% supportive of my decision to have it every since!

I know you are going to do fantastic. I am looking forward to following your progress!!!!!

Yup I'll be up there with ya!!!  Awww I am far from a celebrity!..lol!  I wish I had that celebrity paycheck I know that!.  Thanks for the comment Teanonna!  Good luck with your surgery tuesday!
