Help Please... 6 weeks out and pain.
I haven't had any problems or complications until last night. Now I'm worried.
Last night I started having a burning or pulling pain kind of behind my belly button. It woke me up several times last night. The area just left of my belly button is real tender and partially numb.
Could this be a hernia? I will call Dr. E's office today but I need some advice.... thanks
Hmmm....educated guesses (but I'm not a doctor so still, just guesses)....
Aot of people have pain where the left incision was. I think the largest of the instruments go in there.
Perhaps an ulcer....? When I had my ulcers, the pain let up some when I ate.
I would think you are too early out for it to be an internal hernia since they are usually caused by the rapid weight loss giving the intestines alot of room to move around. That usually doesn't occur (if it's going to at all****il you are 1-2 years post-op.
External hernia's are usually 'feelable'.
You're doing the absolute best thing you can do...you're contacting your physician. Please let us know what they tell you..k? I hope you get to feeling better soon.
