I've been meaning to ask you how you are doing.  I guess I've just been so busy...it's no excuse though.  I hope you are feeling well!

The girls are getting bigger all the time.  And with them in school they are sounding so much older....sigh...my little girls are growing up.

What happened to your avatar picture?  Did you want me to put the one you had back on there??

Back today from 4 days in Phoenix for my son's "fun" wedding.  He married in Hawaii in April and his wife wanted to have a family wedding.  It was at the Ocotillo Golf Resort.  Wow!  Beautiful.  AND HOT!   I got a little red and my other DIL was burnt.  My hair part is bright red and I'm afraid it's going to peel!  But the wedding was beautiful.  My son's MIL is 100% Arab (from Palestine) and the wedding was the "big fat greek wedding".  It was very fun!  It was very beautiful!

So we got in late yesterday.  I am on vacation this week - thankfully!  I am so tired and my back is killing me.  I've got to get in the shower and get to the grocery.  Nothing here to eat.  I've been making pumpkin rolls, fudge, cookies and pretzel sticks for cash to give to a Haiti mission.  I've lots of pumpkin rolls and fudge to make today as orders for Thanksgiving.  So that's what's in store for me.  No matter how tired!

I did find out that my back problems are a result of scar tissue from the surgery.  They believe the scar tissue will eventually break apart and the pain will go away.  I'm counting on that as the pain is sometimes unbearable!  I am going to have a epidural for pain management.  I'm okay with that as I have had 2 before surgery.  They didn't work but they didn't know I had a ruptured disc also.  This time the MRI has shown the scar tissue and what needs to be done.    I am so ready!

Lots of family coming over for Thanksgiving on Thursday evening.  I am the head cook and look forward to making "bari-friendly" foods.  I have begun writing everything down that I eat to try to stay on track.  It just isn't easy to do it...stay on track that is!  I am  going to make a concerted effort to do it!

I will be in front of my computer most of the day, working. Business is good, but boy, does my house need attention! Not to mention my yard, we are still knee-deep in leaves...and now it's raining and they're all wet. Yuk. We'll try and get those suckers raked before spring!! Life is just really busy right now.

Gonna go work out this evening, I'll need it after sitting for most of the day. I'm actually looking forward to it.

Do you work from home? What kind of business is it? I would love to find something that I can do part time at home on my computer to make a little extra money. Monday,  wow... what to do?!  I am thinking about making the sign for the front yard to welcome Chaz home.  He called her from Kuwait last night and he was leaving for Germany.  He will be in the states tomorrow and home on Saturday.  We are going crazy.... it's actually gonna be a long week.  Ashley called me and said she is actually kinda nervous and excited both.  She didn't sleep much last night.  I can't blame her.  They have been married a year but only together for a month of that.  It's almost like they are just getting married now.  The close on the new house on Dec. 4th, I think.

OMG!  I just realized My son-in-law hasn't seen me since my surgery!  He will be shocked.

I made a hat and scarf yesterday.  I think this crocheting thing might be my new hobby for a while.  LOL.  Ashley tried to sneak it out with her when she came over last night.  Guess I know what she is getting for Christmas from MOM.  I am gonna get some yarn to match her coat today and start working on hers.

Yep we overslept again(dang flannel sheets are to warm)so had to take the boys to school ,1 is in middle 1 in high thank goodness they are right next door to each other or we would have been really late..
Yesterday was a friends bday so we went to dinner and then to shot dhs sks and shotgun they have 5 acres so it dont bother anyone(the boys loved it) they even shot handguns....
We got to more invites to dinner Thursday wow either we are well liked or they feel sorry for us...
We went shopping at goodys this weekend everything was on sale and then 20% off so now im done...We are helping out friends who are having a hard time so neil and i are doing no gifts for each other...
I wonna thank you all for the support and prayers you have given my family lately it has helped so much..Also i feel blessed to have you all in my life .........

 I am off from babysitting today-NOT! Gotta go down in a few minutes, but thought I'd check in with everyone. Alot going on here-
Sherri & Bill- sorry you couldn't make it Sunday- Dana had the garage all warmed up for guy time-hee,hee! Thanks for the order!!!We will see you at the Exchange, right?! HAPPY 8TH ANNIVERSARY, dear friends!!!

My daughter & her hubby from Minn. came down to see everyone Fri. & left Sun. so we had lots of running, going, etc. Hubby's annual  Class Christmas dinner Sat. night & my Pampered Chef Sunday-whew!!! I tell you, I had so much fun with everyone!Something about being with family & friends just blesses me in big & small ways.
My SIL had chemo again, & her count is all over the place. She has been having some pain near her liver, & did get a new Dr. that she will go see on the 4th. We are going out together for Thanksgiving dinner- I think. Thier daughter wants to have dinner on Friday, so we may just take over some food, so she won't be too worn out to go Fri.
My grandson & his girlfriend need your prayers. She was brutelly attacked on Friday. She is home and in alot of pain, and has alot of trama to deal with- as does he. Please keep them in yor prayers. We are loving them both thru this, but it will take a long time for her to heal,physically & emotionally.My heart has just been broken for them/her.
Gotta go babies calling- sorry I don't get on as often, but I do think of you all, and pray for you,my OH family.   

I just got back from the YMCA.  I am pooped.  But that is good for me!!!  Walking with a foot that doesn't work is challenging.  I do wear a brace and that helps.  My pouch still can't tolerate the full dose of pain medicine that I take for the chronic pain left from the compartment syndrome.  I am left with nerve damage and no one knows if it is permanent or not.  Only time will tell. 

I can't imagine how anxious Tracy must be with her son coming home from war.  I tear up with joy just thinking about it.  I am full of joy for you and your family for your upcoming reunion.

Sherri, I think you and I were sisters in another life or something.  Seems like that streak of bad luck ha**** you on the head as it does me from time to time.  Not getting doctors to move fast enough when you aren't feeling well and have some painful symptoms sux.  The waiting is unbearable.  My heart goes out to you.  Happy Anniversary to you and Bill!  I wish you many, many more.

Ellen, I was thinking of your SIL this weekend.  Going through chemo and all the emotions of what she has going on. God bless her heart. And for your grandson's girlfriend as well.

Lisa,  I love reading your posts.  You are gonna have to hip me to all the abbreviations that you use.  Some I have figured out but not all....

Just stopping by to say Hi. I have been up most the day but been busy. I have picked up a part time babysitting job and the kiddos are 2 & 3 sooo they keep me pretty darn busy.
I need to figure out my "schedule" now to know when to do the Edinburgh thing, sorry ladies for not knowing right this minute!!
