Back again! Thanks Goodness! :O)

Greetings my fellow losers!

I am back from the family funeral in Vegas. What a trip! lol so glad I went and was able to share it with my daughter. It was very surreal but gave me closure in alot of ways I didn't even know I needed it in. I felt so good spending time with my half sister and being there for her. I am not a good house guest, in that I am a homebody and love MY home and don't travel really well but I did OK and was SOOOOO glad to be home with my hubby after being gone a week! lol The weather was great....record highs in the upper 70's and lower 80's. Made it hard  to come home to COLD! lol Thank you all for your prayers and words of support. You all mean so much to me and I am so blessed to have you all in my life.
There were so many post while I was gone that I just started up here and hope I haven't missed anything too big.

A big thanks to my secret elf.....you made my day ! When I got home there was a card and a package waiting for me! I LOVE the mug and the bracelet! You are spoiling me rotten! Your kindness and thought fullness has really touched me and I know you are truly a very special person inside. Thank you!

The eating out was terrible....I gained 6 pounds but am down 4.5 of it already just being home and eating normal. I am not used to eating fast foods and out of boredom too! I am going to work on being GOOD from Thanksgiving to Christmas and see if I can earn a reward then! lol
Life is still so very Wonderful!

Glad to see you posting!  What wonderful weather! I sure wi**** was 70 again here, already! LOL I am so glad that you were able to be there with your half-sister and able to find some closures where you needed it! I am sure that is a relief for you! To have your daughter there with you as well, I am sure was very rewarding, too!

It is so refreshing to see/read your post! You are such a positive person!

Sweety, you have been in my prayers. I know it had to be rough, but what a blessing to have closure. What a huge blessing your daughter was to go with you, & it gave her some insight and into your past & new family as well. I am so glad you are home, as I am sure Jon, is .Did,you bring home any goodies for him?hee~hee!!!

We met our niece who was adopted 35 yrs. ago, and felt so relieved  & grateful to know she was given a loving home,with parents who could do what my sister was incapable of. She has a wonderful life,& that is what we had prayed for all these years. It helped us have some answers & closure as well. She decided she didn't want to build a relationship with us all, as she loves her family, & is quite happy. It was fine with us, she knows where we are and we would be there in a minute, if she ever needs us. I pray for her & them every day.

ellen, your understanding is such a blessing...so many do not understand the pull in ones heart and the difficulty in working this relationship into reality :o) I know your prayers have been heard and answered for your niece. You are a gem!

I am so glad that your trip was fruitful for you, your daughter, and your extended family. I know that the cir****tances wasn't the best, but we have to take advantage of the opportunities we're given.

Boredom...? In Vegas??? Oh sweetie, you really did need to spend more time on the strip! I'm sure if Jon had been with you there would have been regular places that you two go together, huh? I can't imagine going out there without Bill. I can completely understand about the food. Oh what delish food! The wonderful seafood buffets! And oh! All those gormet sugar-free yummies! It's enough to make a Splenda Queen sigh! LOL!

I am so looking forward to seeing you again!

Yep Sherri...BORED for sure! We didn't go to the strip or downtown (my place) at all. Money was tight and with me staying at their home I didn't think it proper to ask to go there.....after all I was there for support and they didn't offer so...when in Rome! I sat and sat and sat ...and talked...and talked...lol so much for Vegas. At least Jon doesn't feel like I "cheated" on him by enjoying "His" Vegas! lol

Hijack!  If you two are coming to the Christmas party, maybe you could stop by and see me!  My surgery is the day of the Christmas party.  Wonder if they'd let you in that late?  You know I'll be up walking!  Several people on another board I belong to are coming up post-party also.   My surgery's at 11 AM on the 9th.
