Tuesday!
Good Morning all! Happy Tuesday! I am leaving to go to Stout Field and welcome my son-in-law home from Iraq. One hour is all we get with him today but Saturday he will be here for good. I am so excited!
I got to meet Michelle yesterday. She is awesome! It makes me so excited for the ornament exchange. Everyone I meet is just so awesome.
I don't really know what plans we will have for the day since we will be done with our visit mid morning. We just might shop in Indy. (I will carry her bags while she shops no doubt!)
I hope everyone has a great day!

Welcome Home SIL!!! Thanks for serving!! I do not like war... but I support each and every person who chooses to serve for our country!! That is America.. we may not always agree but We serve with honor and protect what is right!!
Today is a SH*TY day for me my sister has her right lung biopsyed. the x rays show the 12CM mass takes most of her right lung. She is scared and after loosing mom to lung cancer 14 years ago.. we her siblings are afraid too.. It is so hard to lean when you know the probable outcome..

Hi Linda! Sorry about your sister, that must be scary.
I don't know anyone who LIKES war, it's just sometimes necessary. And you're right, the people who choose to lay their lives on the line for our freedom deserve our unconditional respect.
Jenny
Hello all!
Linda Kay... I'm sorry to hear about your sister. I will pray it's not cancer. My mom had a spot on her lung when I was in high school. She had to have surgery to remove it. It turned out to be a fungus, of all things. Who knows how it got there.
I will be pulling a double shift today between both jobs. I'm not really feeling up to it yet, with the cold and strep throat, but I don't have much choice. We need the money.
Well off for a cold Tuesday!

Linda Kay- I will thinking about your sister and praying. I am glad you can be there for her. It must be scary as you said. I can't imagine.
Linda V- I hope you don't work too hard. I know that feeling of not feeling good but still needing to have that $$. Its hard to turn down. I will be thinking of you too.!!
I hope everyone has a great day. Keep warm!!

Good morning everyone!
Wow! I only got up twice during the night! Woo-hoo! It's amazing how much you can appreciate little things like that, huh?
Update from yesterday's morning post:
The plumber couldn't replace the main shut-off valve because he couldn't get to the shut off that goes from the road to the house. So..he did get the main to quit leaking though so that's a plus.
I called Dr. Bergman's and I'm to go in & see her in the morning. She called in an anti-biotic. I think it's helping..at least, my leg isn't as red or hot as it was yesterday.
If I don't hear from Dr. Wittle's nurse by this afternoon, I'm going to give her a call. I'd really like to know the outcome of that upper GI before the long Thanksgiving weekend starts.
No teeth are hurting so I do think it was a 'dummy' tooth in the bridge that I chipped. Hopefully, it won't make the bridge too weak.
I think that updates all from yesterday....
I hope that everyone has a good day today....
Tracy...enjoy your reunited with your SIL. I'm sure your daughter is both thrilled...and nervous. Afterall, she's still a new bride since they've been apart for so much of their marriage, huh? So..did you go with the huge sign in the yard?
Linda Kay...I hope your sister gets some good news with the biopsy. Does she live out in the country kinda-sorta like you do? I know someone who had a place on his lung and when they biopsied it, they found out that it was a fungus too...like Linda V's mom. His was caused by burning wood for a campfire that had been 'infected' by bird poo that contained this fungus. Let's hope it's something like that to where a good anti-biotic can take care of it.
Linda V....I hope you are feeling better. Tiffany had strep all the time growing up. I don't remember ever having it myself. Bronchitis was always my achelis (sp?) heel. Moving INTO the city helped that though...?? It seems like it was local corn fields that promoted mine. Yeah, I know. Leave it to me to get the strange stuff. I hope the rest of your family are getting better as well. With Tiff's household (5 adults & 4 kids), by the time the last one is getting over whatever is going around, the 1st one is getting it again.
Leah...I do hope your day goes well. I read your profile yesterday. I definately think I would also be contacting a lawyer over that whole 'oops your leg got hurt' thing during a hysterectomy! At least it did only take them less than 5 days to determine the problem. Maybe I should go to what-ever group diagnosed you. It'll be 14 months on Dec. 6th that I've been waiting for some answers.
A very dear friend of mine had to have a biopsy yesterday on her neck. The doctor told her that it was VERY close to her juglar vein so we are all hoping that the test results come back as non-cancerous. Trying to remove it would be a little tricky given it's location is what she was told. Since she didn't say, I am assuming that if it is cancerous, there isn't concern of removing it beyond just where it's location is.
Other than talk on the phone yesterday (each of the three kids called, Gail & Ellen called), Bill & I didn't do anything special for our anniversary yesterday. He dealt with the plumber...I went to Krogers. lol. Bill offered for us to go out to eat but I wasn't having a very good day between my tummy & leg so I asked him for a rain-check. At least it was better than last year's...I didn't have to tote a wound vac with me to Krogers and I am allowed to drive. We don't have any 'big' plans for today either. We've got a little bit of running to do (like going & visit with Bill mom who is still in the hospital) but that's about it.
You all have a good day.
Sherri

DH & I went shopping last night and got several things for them for Christmas.I love the Black Friday sales, but without Penny it isn't much fun, so I guess I'll do what i can before. We usually watch what we get so we don't get the same things/or her MIL. now Dana-he hates crowds and has to have a goal- so it's "Honey, go see if they have these items,'k??" He enjoys the hunt when he knows what it is & that he won't have to fight to get it.
We are going to daughters inlaws for Thanksgiving- one big happy family!!! We enjoy each others company, & they have a huge family. Our kids were here last Fri. so we got to celebrate just being together.
