Happy Thanksgiving everyone!
Those that are traveling, please be careful.
Those that have 4 day holidays - I hate you all. (just kidding, but it would be nice to have 4 days off!)
I used to do the Friday morning sales, but I have had to work the Friday after Thanksgiving the past two years, so I've gotten out of the habit. Kinda hard to get up at 2 or 3, go stand in line with the crowds, then be to work by 7 am.
I can't complain much though - I'll be off Christmas and New Year's due to having the surgery!!
Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday.
Hugs to everyone and prayers to those that need 'em.

Happy Thanksgiving to everyone also! We have no plans, just going to stay home. We are going home for our family Christmases on the 14th of Dec so didn't want to make 2 trips so close together.
Would love to shop on Friday (for just a few things) but not dragging the boys out and Gary is working. Oh well, better on my wallet anyway!

Four days off...boy, what a nice dream! I always have to work the day after Thanksgiving, the Post Office doesn't do four day weekends...or even TWO day weekends, come to think of it! Plus, my doctor clients still want their stuff done. Weird, huh?
Easier on the pocketbook, I guess, but I'd really love to go slog through the crowds on Friday! Oh well, lots of time before Christmas. I do a lot of online and catalog Christmas shopping, but I love the Christmas atmosphere in the malls and stores and like to go be a part of it. The decorations, the music...I love this time of year!
Time to go do my workout...have a great day, everyone!

Christie the days are ticking off for you aren't they? I am so excited for you woman!
I have gone shopping once the day after Thanksgiving and that was enough for me.
We are going to my Dad's in Columbus for Thanksgiving. I am going prepared with several games to keep my butt out of the kitchen and away from the food. All smells are still giving some problem... my nose is so sensitive now.
Here's hoping that everyone has a safe, stress-free Thanksgiving!
God bless!

Happy Thanksgiving All~
We're having just a small get together with a few immediate family members only. We usually go up north--South Bend area--and have Thanksgiving there with DH's extended family. We have to rent a hall it is so big...over 100 people, 5 turkeys, Whew! One year Don and I were assigned to bring mashed potatoes for the clan. What a task, I'll tell ya! I'll have to say we did overestimate quite a bit, but we peeled, diced, sliced, cooked and mashed 70lbs of potatoes! Whew! What a job! My mom/grandma came over the night before with their peelers, pitched in right away to help. Fun times!
This will be my last Thanksgiving with a stomach this size. Lots of emotions are coming up right now, but one thing is, I don't have a desire to overeat...at least for tomorrow anyway. I can only do this for one day at a time and right now, that's how I'm feeling.
Peace/blessings to all of you!
