Help, I need advice!!!!!
I had an open RNY on the 18th of this month. I am feeling weaker and have been for the last 3 days. Does anyone have an answer????? I can eat and take meds. Was dehydrated and just got back to taking protein shakes today. I have been eating and taking pills fine. Any and all advice appreciated. Called the doctor. Said to make sure I got my water and protein in. Thats it.

First thing I would say is Protein, but if you are getting that, then I would check your carbs.
I went to my newbie support group on Wednesday and found out some good info on carbs. I thought I was doing well by focusing on drinking water and my protein was Isopure, which has almost zero carbs, Found out I probably had ketosis.... they told me to drink some 100% grape juice... it helped out a ton. I also wasn't getting much milk (not on purpose) I was just using water in my protein cause i thought it was better. I would check with dietician before taking my advice, but that was just the recent experience I had.

I felt about the same way as you...kinda back and forth. A trick I learned is to make yogurt drinks or protein drinks with 1% milk and dry milk. Mixing them in with protein will make it easier to get it in. Mixing all that in a protein shake would add close to 20 more grams to you shake. I hope you get to feeling better though.

Teanonna, I am sorry you seem to be having some bumps on your early journey. I did too sorta. The dehydration thing is just a huge deal for me. I get weak, and tired when early dehydration is coming on. I have learned to catch it earlier now.
Are you taking your b12 and b1 vitamins? They help me alot with my energy level.
You are also still very early out so don't be too surprised to find that you are tired alot. It will pass. If you still don't feel quite right, call the doc's office again. You will get to know your pouch but in the meantime listen to your body. If you feel something is wrong... don't hesitate to call them.
I hope you feel better soon. I will keep you in my prayers.
