Saturday...

Good morning all!

Man..here it is 4:20! I've been awake since 2! I can't blame it on Bill's TV. He had fell asleep in the livingroom so he didn't come to bed until ~3:30. I decided that as much problems as I was having without his tv, that having it on certainly wasn't going to help any and went ahead & got up. There was no sence in my wrestlessness keeping him awake too. Every time my stomach gurgled (which is ALOT this morning), he'd kinda grunt an acknowledgement..lol. So....

We went over to Family Video last night. They looked at me like I was nuts when I asked about the gaming systems. They said that they only sell them when they are very worn out. We them went over to Circuit City because they are going out of business (E. Washington). They didn't have any gaming systems and most of what they did have on their shelves (which was VERY little) was over-priced junk. So..we came home & I checked on Amazon & ebay. I lucked out! I got Chance (my 7 yr old grandson) the PS2 (used, but in the box with all the paperwork, manuals, etc), the controllers, and 17 games (~half are age appropriate for him & the other half he'll grow into in a few years) for $128.50. The systems alone were going for $60-80 so I feel like I did pretty good to get all those games too. I also got Myranda's pink slippers so I'm doing real good so far! LOL!

I think I'm going to call Jay (my son) in a little bit and ask him to get the grandkids toy wish list for me since their mom's are aparently too busy right now. I don't want to wait until the last minute especially since I'll probably order alot of it online. Shopping was very rough on me yesterday. I started off at WalMart. I went to the one on E. Washington because I wanted to go the Meijer's too. HUGE mistake! That place was a zoo and loaded with RUDE people, running kids, screaming toddlers. They didn't have any signs up to indicate what items were on sale. When you tried to look at things, ADULTS would not move so you could no matter how many time you said 'excuse me'. They totally ignored you & continued to talk to each other (in another language..so maybe they didn't understand that 'excuse me' meant MOVE!)! There was some kid screaming that seemed to follow me to whichever department I was in...and then I had to be careful because kids were running out between the aisles and I was so afraid they were going to hit my stomach. I was a nervous wreck when I left there. I went to Walgreens next, and then to Meijers. They were better but not by enough to calm my insides. I went to Deals and while I was in there, my stomach decided to let me know just how ticked off it was at me getting upset. So....instead of going to the mall like I had planned, I went home and took some pain meds. Fortunately, my stomach eased up & my nerves calmed down fairly quickly so that Bill & I could enjoy a nice relaxing meal with Brenda & Floyd. It was just what I needed after that nerve-wrecking day I had. We stopped by Family Video before that...and Circuit City after. Bill offered for us to go to the mall, but I just wasn't up for it. That will have to wait another day.

Oh...while I was a Meijers, I broke down and got me some more clothes. I was really fighting against that. I was so hoping my stomach would be okay by now but I finally had to accept the fact that I cannot make it through the winter with Capri's & 3 pairs of bib overalls. I didn't bother trying them on...like I said, my nerves were shot. To get the waist stretchy enough though, I got mediums...which probably means they'll be really baggy in the butt & legs. Oh how I wish I could at least where the jeans I wore BEFORE my plastics!!!!

Well..I do hope you all enjoy your day today.....I think I'll let my fingers do the shopping....

Good morning all!  Today is the day!  Chaz will be home here at around 4pm.  Then he will hopefully never have to go to war again.  His contract is up in March and he will re-enlist with the Air National Guard.  His chances of deployment are far less that way.  He has spent 3 out of 4 years since high school in Afghan and Iraq.  It will be so good to have him home.

The kids and I decorated the house yesterday for Christmas.  We are going to do some cooking and cleaning today.  Then Kel and I are gonna have a "mommy date" and go see some movie about vampires that she wants to see... twilight I think it is.  Tyler and Marc are gonna play football with a group of guys.

Tomorrow will be the day we have been waiting for.  I am more excited about it than Christmas.  All of my kids will be home for Thanksgiving with Chaz.  We have soo much to be thankful for.  He told me last night on the phone that he has been counting the hours now... he cant wait for the family, food, and football games on tv. 

I have to share this with you too.... I still don't get any Unemployment yet so no money for 3 weeks now and the purse is very thin.  I went to Wally world to get Tyler a pair of jeans and Kelli a sweatshirt that were in the ad for 8 bucks each.  It's about all they will get for Christmas.  So, I thought Ihad better at least try to get them.  I got there and BOTH items were marked $4 on the shelves.  It was an error by the staff there.  So, I got the manager over to see it.  She was ticked that they were done wrong and tore the sign off them both but did the override at the register for me and I got BOTH items for $8 total.  I figured God sent me to wally world cause I never go out on Black Friday....  I was thankful.

Yikes Sherri, you really have a lot on your plate. I hope you feel better very soon.

Today is going to be a great day! Both my college kids will be home, and we're going to a tree farm to cut our Christmas tree and put it up. We're also going to a great local place called Warm Glow Candle Outlet. They have great candles, and at Christmastime they have the neatest stuff! Whoever arranges their merchandise is really talented, it's fun to just walk through even if you don't buy anything...but I will! They have a little cafe in there, too. Can't wait to get off work at noon and get started on the good stuff!

OHHHHHHHHHHHHH Jenny I love love love warm glow candles ..yummy!!!  I sure wished I lived closer so I could go more often.  My favorite is the Lemon Bliss.....mmmm.

Sherri, does sound like your stomach rules your body, huh?  I'm so sorry you have to continue to go through so much pain.  Some day (hopefully) you will look back and think how far you have come and be PAIN FREE!

I didn't do any Black Friday shopping.  Last time I went, I was so frazzled by the end of it I couldn't remember the whole reason for the season.  I have been shopping since June and have most of mine already done.  I looked for things on clearance or if something caught my eye for a particular person, I bought it.  I am sure I saved just as much money as I would have if I shopped Black Friday.  I think I was a little more thoughtful and deliberate in my purchases that way also. 

Today, I have to balance the checkbook (yuck!) and pay bills.  I'm also going to do a work out on the treadmill even if it kills me.  (Back not any better!)   I think I'm also going to list a few things (Vera Bradley) on ebay.   I have pictures to download to my computer to print from the wedding last weekend.  And if I feel like it, I may go finish my shopping.  I hope tonight and tomorrow we can get the Christmas tree and decorations up.  I want to enjoy them as long as I can!

This week, I have been very conscious of what is going into my mouth.  I've been writing it down.  Trying to see where I can cut out bad things.  We  have been eating much lighter and my stomach hasn't been as upset lately.   I didn't realize how much I was snacking.  Even if the snacks are good for you, if you eat too many they really add up.  I think I was eating out of boredom and definitely not hunger.  I made a decision that that had to change.

Good morning everyone.  Hope this finds you all doing good.  I didn't shop yesterday for door busters but did shop for paint.  I guess my husband is going to paint the bathroom...lol...All of my Christmas is up except my village and I am not sure if I even want to set it up.  I feel great today slept really well last night (for once)  Sherri sorry about the game, but the manager here said all of them were getting rid of them so I don't know, but you did find a great deal!!!! 

Good Morning!

Today marks my 3rd year! I can't believe! I have changed so much and am so happy that I made this decision!
I am off to another basketball game, this afternoon! I hope they win this one! It is so much fun going and rooting! I am such a team mom! I holler like all of them are MY boys, they know they are though!

I didn't shop yesterday either! Not enough funds to justify going! I can't afford to get into debt any more so it was better to sleep in and enjoy the day at home with my hubby and son! My family came over again and we ate some leftovers and played PHASE10 dice, so that was nice!

well Hello.....
I am finally back at work. It's 530. I am exhausted, but so glad to be home.
It was a long 3 days. It's nice to get away from them, they drive me crazy. I always remind myself why I don't live there. THat's WHY!

Wow, alot has been going on while I was out. I hadn;t realized Dawn's anniversary was coming up. CONGRATS!!!!!! Hugs and kisses ;)

I found a recipe for stuffed mushrooms that I am bringing to the exchange on saturday....lOOKS SO DELICIOUS.....It's a crockpot recipe I found in my Hometown newspaper's cookbook they do every year. I was looking through it last night for an idea.
Well I should actually go do some work, LOL Have a great Saturday night!
