Sherri, why don't you just toot your own horn a bit more! Ha ha. I'm jealous, can't really complain though, I have two more nights of work before I'm off for my surgery. But my "vacation" will be a little less fun than yours.

I'm pretty tired today, we took my boys to Disney on Ice last night. We had an awesome time, it was a great show. But the boys didn't get to bed until almost 10 and they are normally in bed by 8-8:30.

Gotta take the littlest one to the dr this morning for shots, trying to get caught up on his vaccines because he was sick at his 12 month shot appt. Should be fun, NOT!

Melissa,

Last year I had bought an extra 40 hours vacation from the company. With our company, you lose whatever hours you don't use by Dec. 31st. I usually do try to hang on to some hours for that last month so I can have some extra time for Christmas shopping. Last year, in September, I had 68 hours left so that I'd be able to take off 8 1/2  days before Christmas (plus we are off from Dec. 25- Jan. 2nd). Well..I had my plastics in September and then everything hit the fan in October. I wound up on medical leave for a total of 7 months and I ended up losing those 68 hours of vacation. Sure...I was off..but it was NO vacation! They continued to take out ~$100 every 2 weeks out of my check to cover that vacation time I bought..and then cut my check to 65%! Nope..not a vacation at all. So....I am tickled to be able to actually use my vacation time this year! Woo-hoo!! I would had gladly traded in this time though if I could have had a surgery to correct my intestinal problems. Now next year...it's my 20th anniversary here so I have of extra vacation time! I'll have 312 hours to play with NOT counting any holidays or end of the year vacation. Since I'm working 10 hr days, that is 7 weeks & 3 days! Oh yeah!!!!!

Sherri

ps..Good luck at the doc's office. Tiffany was terrified of shots so taking my two for theirs when they were little was a real chore.

Good Morning All,
Today is a sad day for me. Two years ago today, I lost a very dear friend, Mary Brown. She was a big part of our OH family, I miss her so much. Anyone who was blessed to have met Mary, knew just how special she was. I posted a blog on MySpace for Mary. http://www.myspace.com/gail7616

Love to all. Hugs & Blessings Gail

Gail,

I went through my 'missing Mary' at the party the other night, as I did last year too...and probably will every year. She will forever be a part of my heart. I still (and will!) have Mary's dedicated albumn on my picturetrails.com/sweetsherri61 page if anyone would like to check it out.

Good morning everyone.

Sherri, I feel so sorry for you having to take all that time off work.  Only wi**** were me.

Gail, I am so sorry about your friend.  It's wonderful that you preserve her memory.  Losing friends and family is hard anytime, but especially at this time of year.  I lost my mother on Dec 16 many years ago and I still remember how hard the holidays were for many years.  They only got better when I had my own child to build Christmas memories with.

I may take off early today.  Have a raging headache.  Have a few loose ends to take care of.  I hope everyone has a wonderful day.  Stay safe, stay warm.

Sherri, enjoy your time off.  I am!

Good morning all!  It was an eventful evening at Dad's.  I had my first gall bladder attack!  Yay!!!

Not alot of plans today.  I am just hanging out here with Daddy and all the animals.  The wake was last night and the funeral is this morning.  So after the family dinner, they will all start heading back south.  I  expect to be ready to leave here around 2pm.  I sure will be glad to get back home though.  I miss my kids and hubby.

Hope you all have a great day!

Huge hugs,
Tracy
