Leah,

I used the adult liquid tyelnol they've come out with recently and it worked for me.  Doesn't mean it will work for you.  I hope it does though!

Thanks Frankie... I had forgotten they make that adult stuff in liquids too.  That is what I am having my hubby pick up for me.
Blessings to you all, Leah

Hi.  I am so sorry to hear that you are sick.  That sucks!  I have my doc give me liquid also.  They don't taste great but they make me feel like I am absorbing better.  However, I have trouble taking meds also.  You might call your doctor and have him prescribe you some CARAFATE.  It is a liquid that you can drink several times a day and it coats your pouch.  You could use that while you are sick and it should help with the meds going down nicely.  I took it for a while until my pouch started to let me take my regular meds.
Good luck!

Hey woman!!  I asked about the CARAFATE and the doc said to see what the liquid anti-biotic goes first. If that doesn't seem to help then they will call me in a script for that. Thanks for mentioning that.

Blessings to you all, Leah

Thanks everyone for your ideas and kind words... I called the surgeon's office and they called in a liquid anti-biotic and that seems to be doing better, pouch wise.
I am sure this just has to run its course.  My temp is down too.... 101.5  So I am happy  about that.

Tracy thanks for the compliment on my pic.  I am trying to capture the transformation on a weekly basis.  I will still never know how to handle attention from the opposite sex??!!!  I was in walmart picking up my script yesterday with my daughter... and this guy winks at me and introduces himself right in front of my 17 yr old daughter.  She about fell over.  I am sick too.. and wasn't looking my best.  What in the heck was he thinking??? My daughter said," Mom he was kind of hot for an old guy".  I am 44 and she thinks I am old.  We laughed all the way home.... well I laughed and coughed.

Blessings to you all, Leah

Hi Leah,

I hope things are getting better now.  For the cough, my grandma always says to rub the vicks on your feet and then put socks on.  She says the cough will stop.  I've never actually tried it, but she swears it works.  Might be worth a try!

Leah!

I hope you are feeling better today.  Get some Chicken broth in you too.  Something about Chicken Broth always makes me feel better when I have a bad cold.  Maybe put on about 3 layers of clothes and crawl under about 4 blankets and try sweating that thing out after you take some medicine.  That always seems to help my husband and kids.  Just make sure that you drink plenty of fluids.  I'm praying that you get over this quickly.

Leah,

Hope you are feeling much better by now.  Haven't had time to jump on until today.  I see you have a lot of suggestions but thought I'd put my two cents in.  I started using the children's strips, you know the ones that melt in your mouth.  I just double up on the dose.   So far they work for me.

Leah,

I hope you are feeling better.  I haven't been on the board for a few days.  You got some really good advice.  Hang in there.  Merry Christmas!
