Monday....
I was able to find me an outfit at WalMart yesterday. I found cuter stuff there than at any of the stores in Washington Square. So..I got 2 pair of pants (which I tried on and got smalls (size 4/6) that either would be appropriate for a funeral. I also got a black sweater that would go with either. I went to Kohl's and got a pair of Sketchers that would do good for today...and yet be good for work too. So...I'm going to jump in the shower soon and then I'll be good to go. We are targetting being at the funeral home by 10. Family hour starts then. The 'wake' portion for non-family is from 11-1 and the short service is at 1.
I'll be starting the task of going through Jean's clothes this week. Whatever my daughter & son's gf can't/won't use, I'll be bringing to the clothing exchange on the 17th. Jean often gave me clothes to bring there so it's only appropriate for them to go there.
Other than the funeral, no plans today. I'd like to come home and just chill but I imagine Tiffany & Rod will come over afterward. Then I can chill..lol I want to catch up on my Hero shows!
You all have a terrific day today!

Gramma's in good spirits after the fall and the broken arms. Prayers are still appreciated. My mother and her brothers are going to talk to the doctor and social worker today to see what Gramma's options are, since she can't go home alone with two broken arms.
Hugs,
You both have a full plate today. I'll keep you both in my thoughts.
Today my goal is to do better than yesterday. I started dehydrating yesterday around noon. I've been on here enough - I know the signs. I was watching a movie and didn't have anything to drink nearby. I felt a little disoriented, and the skin on the back of my hand didn't go right back down after pinching it up.
My hubby noticed, made me sit down and asked what was going on - I told him I thought I was dehydrated, and boy did he push the water on me! It was 2:00 in the afternoon, and I had only had 16 oz of fluid. I won't make that mistake again!
I did have a protein drink last night according to one of Shanna's recipes, and it did taste good and didn't gag me. So- I plan to mix it up again today. I figure I need to drink 3 of them to get my protein requirements in? One after each meal ought to do it. I'll consider it dessert! There's just 26 g of protein plus the 8 from the milk in each one. About an hour after I eat should work out.
Hope everyone has a good day. I know I am going to do my best to try to!!
Chris
I used one scoop of Body Fortress Vanilla protein powder, 1 cup of Lactaid FF milk, 1 cup of ice, about 1/4 pkg of dry SF Instant Banana Cream pudding powder, and about a half dozen frozen strawberries, and put it through the blender.
It was pretty good, and I was able to get it down. I filled a 16 oz glass and sipped on it. Today, I'm going to try to have one after each meal. I plan to have one in about an hour.
Each scoop of the Body Fortress is 26 grams of protein, and the milk is 8, so 34 g protein.
You can get the Body Fortress at Wal Mart for $12.99. That's the best part.

2 Chronicles 16:9
For the eyes of the Lord run to and fro throughout the whole earth, to shew himself strong in the behalf of them whose heart is perfect toward him. Herein thou has done foolishly: therefore from henceforth thou shalt have wars.
That's a deal! But not for years & years..ok? Oh...and make it in the spring time so my yellows & reds would look all right...ok? I know for myself, I said that it will have to be spring when I go because lilacs are my favorite flower! LOL!
Jean probably would had gotten a kick out of it being a themed funeral dresscode...Red Hat, Hawaiian, or Casino night...but her daughter & sil wouldn't have spoken to us ever again. So..gotta keep in mind that funerals are really for the living, not for the one who passed away. So...I went with basic black with some gray....

I am just waking up a bit slow this morning. Waited up for the kids to get back from Green Bay last night. It was 2 am before we got to bed. Good new is that I kept drinking water until they got here. I am pretty sure that I will get past the dehydration from the weekend.
I plan to get some things done around the house today and go to Wally World for some vitamins. Tyler had a blast on the trip. His only regret was that he spilled his pop down his front in the car and managed to drown his cell phone, his ds lite, and my portable dvd all at the same time. I don't know the results yet. I haven't tried to turn on any of it. Wow what an expensive pop that was! He was in tears. I hope it all is ok for his sake. He felt terrible about it.
Chaz came in with a huge smile and said it was the best road trip to a game EVER! He adores Tyler and they have so much fun together. Chuckee Cheese, swimming pool, football and Tyler he says are some of his favorite things in life. That made my day!
Ash said she felt like a Chaperone for two 12 yr. olds. LOL
I hope you all have a terrific day and an even better week!
Huge hugs,
Tracy
I just read an article the other day about how to save a wet cell phone...take the battery out and put the battery and phone in a bowl full of rice (uncooked, dry rice) and let it sit. I think it said for 24 hours or so.
Apparently the dry rice will soak all the moisture out of the electronics. Once everything is dried out you can put it back together and see if it works.
The article said the worst thing you could do is try to turn them on while there is still moisture in there. It could short circuit something.
Hopefully everything still works!
