The greatest Mom God ever made!

I had the greatest Mom God ever made.  She was taken from me way to soon on Jan. 12, 1999.  She fought the battle with her weight her entire life and ended up losing it to liver disease caused by her morbid obesity.

My mom was an amazing woman that gave birth to 8 children.  She was married to my father for almost 51 years.  She taught school in Ohio for the special needs and learning disabled class in Ansonia.  She loved her students like they were her own children.  She taught Sunday School for over 30 years.  She volunteered with the Indiana State School for mental disabled citizens for as long as I could remember, probably more than 20 yrs.  My mother found that those people who were less than perfect were the diamonds that life had to offer.  She had a huge heart for children with terminal illnesses as well.  She volunteered as a tutor for them at home or in the hospitals.

She was always there for me at my ball games, band contests, concerts, anything I did.  She was my best friend and the best person I could have ever met.  I was truly blessed to have her in my life and to call her Mom!

I miss her so much!  I love you MOM!

She sounds like a remarkable person and  gave alot of her self to others, like her you are a giver to others and you have so many outstanding qualities.
Kind caring and loving, she would be proud of the women you turned out to be.

Tracy, your mom sounds like she was an amazing woman! She obviously had tons of love in her heart and shared that love with you and everyone around her! God did truly bless you and everyone who's lives she touched!

I know what you mean about having the greatest Mom, I lost my best freind 3 years ago on the 26th December, and Christmas is a rough time, My Mom was a country girl with a 6 grade education, but she taught me lesson that no school book could ever teach a person.  I catch myself even today saying something that I remember Mom saying to me.

Tracy, your Mom sounds like a wonderful person, and to bad they are taken from us before we think they should, but God has a purpose for all things.  I know my Mom is in a better place and is not suffering as she was here on earth.

Please keep me informed about your Dad.  Talk soon

This is a wonderful post to read. A daughter who continues to honor their parent.  She sounds terrific.
