I'VE BEEN APPROVED POST IT HERE

I had my surgery on 12/18 and have to share with you that my approval was relatively painless. I have cigna and a great office staff at the Surgeon's office might have had something to do with it. When I called in April for information, they asked what type of insurance I had, and included the requirements for Cigna with their info packet.  Than after I had all my paperwork ready they submitted it, 4 days later I had an approval, minutes after that, a surgery date! My approval was on 11/20 and the only reason for the delay in my surgery date was because I wanted to have a Thanksgiving blowout before beginning the diet! A great Christmas gift and new beginning for 2008!

I was APPROVED! I signed final consent papers, Monday 12/10.........They were mailed in..GHI doesn't accept faxes.....Checked GHI's website and it said under review, Monday the 12/17 it said approved . I called to make sure, and they said a letter went out to my surgeon and myself. So i knew long before my surgeons office knew. I recieved the letter yesterday, Hoping my surgeons office did too, so I can get my date!

I got the call today.  I'm approved!  It only took a week after getting all the paperwork faxed!  BCN of MI rocks now that they have changed their policy!

I am approved after the first submission.  Although it took almost 2 months, it was approved nonetheless!  I worked for it.  A lot of phone calls between the insurance company and the dr office.  But it's done!  I am scheduled for my lap-band on January 15th!   My insurance company is BC/BS of Illinois.  And my advice to anyone who has the same insurance is to cross your T's and Dot your I's five times over before your surgeons office submits it.   Best of luck to everyone here! Took me 10 months and as many denials / appeals but I made it! Finally, Approved ....

After 9 months and 2 appeals with Aetna, I  received the letter of approval today - surgery date is February 4th.  I am excited, scared, and nervous at the same time!  For those of you fighting Aetna, don't give up! Vickie 293.5/?/175-ish

I have been approved! called the insurance company today and they said yes!!!  Now just waiting on a letter to set the date!!!  thanks

I have been approved as of 1/17/2008. I was denied at the end of last year, and after 3 weeks in appeal I am approved. BCBSIL PPO

Im APPROVED!!! YAY!!! My file was submitted to Empire BCBS on Jan 15th and they approved me on Jan 17th... That was so fast and I am so excited, I hope to be reporting a date within the next couple of weeks... Rahsheeda

Move over, here I come!!!! I have been approved. My information went in some time last week to UHC and my approval letter went out on Monday of this week. I had not heard anything so I called the insurance company this morning and they said I was approved. I sat here in tears and couldn't believe it. Don't give up because I didn't have everything the doctor's office said I would need to get approve.
