NY State External Appeal- Cigna Over-Ruled!!!

I Won my External Appeal!!!   This has been a very long process- since 9/05.  Cigna now has to cover my surgery!!  A Big Red Letter Day for Me!!! To all who have encouraged and offered help a big, big THANK YOU!!!! I am off to make some phone calls.  To all who are facing denials of covered services - Do Not Give Up.  It is possible to win!!! franni

Hi, and congrats!! I have Cigna POS here in NJ, and just started the process, so I'm preparing for all the what ifs and want to get armed with some info...just in case!! So..I'd like some info on the external appeal as well.

can you pleaaaassseee explain the external process to me.I think i might need it.
