I work for Parker Hannifin Corp ( New Hire )
I work for Sporlan valve a division of Parker Hannifin. Our insurance is UHC( United Health Care)
It says in the book that the surgery is excluded even with comorbidities and even if it's medically needed. I guess my biggest question is :
1) How do I go about getting another insurance company as I have not enrolled in the insurance the company uses ?
I don't have the money for self pay out of pocket and insurance would be my only course of action. I am 6'3 377lbs with a bmi well over 47. I dont look that big but I definetly feel that big.
I noticed alot of topics on this sight get alot of looks but very few replies so I am hoping someone out there can help me and push me in the right direction
Even if your employer offers another insurance company to chose from at Open Enrollment, it will most likely still not be covered because it is your employer who choses if they want to cover it or not for their employees! You will most likely have to get another job with an employer who covers it! Or self-pay. (FYI - I work for a major health insurance company....and they do NOT cover it for their employees!...So much for wanting people to be healthy!!!!) Well, good luck!
