Blue Cross/Blue Shield Health Select- State of Texas employees

Does anyone have this insurance?? Does the State of Texas have an iron-clad exclusion for WLS??  My sister in law works for the State and was told that they do not cover surgery at all.   I went on their website and it says they do not cover gastric bypass or vertical banding for any reason.  I just wanted to confirm and see if anyone had heard of anything to help!! If you are a federal employee... then i have met a few federal employees who have had wls and it was covered.... you have to call your insurance company because every insurance policy is different you can't go by what anyone else says because they dont have your exact policy. I would call 2 or 3 times just to make sure that you are getting accurate information.
