Primary Ins. has exclusion- can I buy a Secondary Policy?

HI - I live in NH and have an Insurance policy that has an exclusion for all WLS.  My MD's office suggested purchasing another policy that may cover the surgery. Has anyone done this? Do I keep the Primary insurance,  they deny it and then the Seondary pays? Or does the new policy become Primary?  I have no idea what to do and if I can even pay out of pocket for coverage. I am self-employed, so I thought I could get coverage for my business. It still may be less expensive than paying for the procedure out of pocket! I believe that BCBS of NH, Fallon and Harvard PIlgrim cover the procedure. Now, how do I buy insurance? Through a broker or directly through the Insurance Comapny? Any ideas, input, advice would be greatly appreciated! Has anyone done this???? Thanks- Carolyn

unfortunately you wont be able to find an individual policy that covers wls, its tru all of the insurance companies do cover weightloss surgery but only for there larger group policies that choose to pay extra for the coverage.
