AETNA? & is it a revision?

Hi Everyone, I'm going to get started on my consultations soon and I have a question... I had my lap band for 4 years and had to have it removed due to erosion ( jan 07). Would my surgery be considered a revision, or am I starting over again. My insurance AETNA says you have to be over 100lbs over weight for one year and be on a medically supervised diet for 6 months...does this pertain to me??? I was not over 100lbs over weight because I had a band and I was under my surgeons care for the last 4 years with band & weight monitering (never reached goal). I am now over 100lbs over weight because I no longer have my band and thats been for the last 3 months or so. I know everyones insurance is different but I'm just trying to get a feel how other insurances handle this issue.& how big of a fight may have on my hands. I'm consuling with Dr Pomp/Ganger in NY 1st. Any of his patients I'd love to hear from you.....Then Dr smith in GA thanks for the help and best for luck to all! Paula 333/190-band removed/ 240 now :(
