Can someone help me out.....

www.obesitylaw.com I have a telephone conference call with Karen from Obesity law and Cigna on Thursday.  I am scared to death.  I was initially denied, then the first appeal was denied.  This is in response to the second appeal that Karen filed for me.  She even took care of the paperwork for the first appeal.  Its best to communicate with them via email.  Alot of times, their phone is busy.

Can I ask why were you denied twice?

I was denied because I haven't completed the six month physician diet.  I am in the process of it; however I've done two since I was an adolescent and they won't count those because one was 5 months and one I missed a month!  I'm aggrivated and mad that they are requiring a third for me.  I'll tell you from experience and from what I've read on the web, they will deny you to discourage you from trying.  Most people quit after they have been denied.  Don't quit!  Make them pay!

I will - I think it's so bogus.  I had 3 weights in 2003 1 or 2 months apart the highest was 203 and the lowest was 198 from yoyo dieting.  There saying since I was 198 in 2003 then I wasn't considered morbidly obesse.  Even though 2004-2007 is morbid obesse.  The kicker was I was told by Benefits before I started the process that I just had to have a BMI over 40.
