3 months diet

My WLS was denied and know I am in the process of going through a 3 months diet regimen required by my insurance.  I have had my first appointment with the dietician and all went well.   I read my policy criteria very carefully and op to do the 3 months instead of the 6 months.  The correct term they used is multidisciplinary surgical preparatory regime:  The question I have is, has anyone ever heard of behavior modification program and what is it?  That is part of the regime.

speak with the doc doing the diet and make sure they write in your progress notes that you discussed diet and exercise each month and the types of things that you are doing.

This (behavior modification program) is part of my approval criteria too. Through my employer, they offer an employee assistance program called Condition Care Management: Obesity. They have coaching, education, psychological ccounseling as part of this program. I have my first meeting schedule for 7/5.  Ali
