BCBS of IL

Okay I heard from my ins and I have to do the 6 month diet...not a huge deal, but what I am wondering is....does anyone have any guesstimates about what percentage the ins covers and how much usually comes out of our pockets???  This is all that my hubby is worried about...kinda makes me mad because he knows how much I want this...oh well.  Just trying to get money out of our pocket estimates....doesn't have to be exact and I promise I won't hold anyone to their amount!  Ha Ha Ha Thank you so much!

Every insurance policy is different especially regarding your deductible.  Check your insurance book or contact your HR person to get information.  There is probably information on what you are wanting to know on the website for BCBS of IL.

I have BCBS of Illinois, also. I have yet to be approved, so I haven't been told how much I have to pay out of pocket; however, my friend who also has BCBS of IL, just had her surgery yesterday and had to pay $1500 out of pocket. But I have also heard of some having to pay as much as half. I think if you look at your plan and see how much your deductible is and what percent they pay, you can figure that up. If all else fails, call the surgeon's office for an estimate.  Hope this helps some.... Karen
