uhc..denial and question.

sorry posted this originally in reg forum guess I should have put it in here my dr faxed over paperwork to uhc last week for some reason uhc says they didnt get complete fax so they were missing parts of my five year history. they denied claim for this reason. I called dr who said they also spoke to uhc and didnt feel it should be denied so they refaxed original paperwork: I called uhc and they said they got second fax but claim had already been denied so nothing I can do but apppeal and state reason for appeal.

dr office called me and said they are just closing original claim request and opening a new file on me with totally new reference number and submitting it. My question is can the dr's office do that? I am just scared uhc will say no to second submission since its for same reason?
