From what I've heard Oxford and Healthnet are very easy. I believe they only require a 40+ BMI. Ive have a regular Aetna plan and they are a total pain in the tush. (deactivated member)

Hi,
I have a medicare advatage plan in AZ. I have Healthnet HMO RUBY plan 2. I have been told by this plan they follow the medicare guidelines. If you go in the internet under Healthnet HMO.com it tells you what the requirments for WLS are for this plan. I have not applied yet but I am waiting for my MMPI-2 to be done for the Psch eval which is scheduled for June 16, 2008. I had my RNY in 1997 and only managed to keep 100 lbs off and go up and down. Plus I have hypothyroidism. I have severe osteoarthrites of both knee's with bone on bone. My orthopeds won't do do knee replacements till I drop about 100 lbs. I also have sleep apnea and can't sleep at all. I had sleep apnea surgery about 2002 and did not work. I was told I have a very narrow airway. I have fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome. I have a hx of blood clots in my lungs and legs. My feet and ankles swell up all the time. I hand the worst knee pain this past winter and could not even walk. I said enough is enough of this bull crap and I need a revision of my gastric bypass. I can't go living on with horrible pain. I have no quality of life. I try to diet all the time and I loose the weight and put it right back on and get more depressed. I go to a zillion doctors every month for my health issues.. I am consider super morbid obesity. I also have insulin restance with hyperlipdemia,My BMi for the last 5 years has been about 59. My doctor said he will do a extended rny. Just waiting for the Psch eval and MMPI and off the papers go to Healthnet. I don't think I handle another winter in AZ. I have a 72 hour drug patch that stays for 3 days and get another put on. Has anyone in AZ has or had my Medicare Advantage Plan thru Heathnet HMO and got approved. Please let me know, Thanks Dawn In AZ
