Tricare Approving Plastic Surgery???

I posted this over on the plastics forum but figured I'd give it a shot here as well. Has anyone had any experience with Tricare approving plastic surgery?  Thanks in advance, Jamie

anyone over their getting approved, usually it's tough

A few people seem to be but everyone keeps saying it's all in how the doc's word the paperwork. One woman was approved but yet her friend was not and I believe they are both at the same MTF. I know one was approved and said she thinks it's because she had a hernia. I haven't even tried yet so I guess we'll see which side of the fence I fall on. Jamie

I would double check the website for Tricare and check the benefits and exclusions.  But I do know they cover some of it for certain reasons.
